[name_f]Paloma[/name_f]! That name has the same simple grace and whimsy with a dash of energy just like [name_f]Susanna[/name_f]! The others are too common, imo. And I don’t like how [name_f]Louise[/name_f] would be [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] which sort of rhymes with [name_f]Zuzu[/name_f]. [name_f]Elise[/name_f] is fine in the middle but I would love [name_f]Bess[/name_f] for [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] even more - [name_f]Susanna[/name_f] [name_u]Lake[/name_u] and [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] [name_f]Bess[/name_f]. Or [name_u]Bird[/name_u] (isn’t birdie a NN for [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]?) or [name_f]Belle[/name_f]? [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] [name_f]Elle[/name_f] would be sweet too, like the initials [name_f]EL[/name_f] but in word form. Anyway - I really love [name_f]Susanna[/name_f] and [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] together, and [name_f]Zuzu[/name_f] and [name_f]Polly[/name_f] or [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] is adorable. Congratulations!
Oh my goodness - just realized you could call [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] ‘Pompom’ sometimes!!! Also, could [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] work for [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]? It has all the letters but a y instead of an I…how sweet is [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f]?!!
P.S. - [name_f]Zuzu[/name_f] and Pompom might be the cutest set of sisters I ever did hear of. They’d need their own children’s book series, immediately:)
I think that [name_f]Polly[/name_f] is such a cute nickname for [name_f]Paloma[/name_f], and [name_f]Zuzu[/name_f] and [name_f]Polly[/name_f] go really well together.
Thanks so much!!! I am surprised by the number of votes for [name_f]Paloma[/name_f]. Any other thoughts in other directions?
I like [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] but would prefer a more wordy middle than [name_f]Elise[/name_f]
[name_f]Paloma[/name_f] [name_u]Eden[/name_u] would be really nice!
My favourites are [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] and [name_f]Willa[/name_f]. If you chose [name_f]Willa[/name_f] I wouldn’t use a nn as [name_f]Willa[/name_f] is short and sweet on it’s own. I don’t care for [name_u]Billie[/name_u].
I vote for [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f]. First of all, it’s a lovely combo and [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] is unique but familiar and [name_f]Polly[/name_f] is a great nickname that goes with [name_f]Zuzu[/name_f] quite well. Your other combos do not flow all that well to my ears…plus they don’t shine as bright as [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f].
I too voted for [name_f]Paloma[/name_f], but [name_f]Willa[/name_f] runs a close second. I have really been liking it lately.
I love [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] with:
[name_f]Willa[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f]
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_u]Eden[/name_u]. [name_f]Ouisa[/name_f] (wee za), [name_u]Isa[/name_u] (ee za), and [name_u]Lou[/name_u] for nn?
I really like all the names but I voted for [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] & [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]. Here’s why:
[name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] - [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] this name! But I dislike the nickname [name_u]Billie[/name_u]. Also, I find the flow a bit funny. The a of [name_f]Willa[/name_f] and the I of [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] clash.
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Luna[/name_f] - this name is very L heavy and has double a endings which I dislike. I know you’re honouring an [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f], but isn’t just [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] enough? [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] would be better, even though [name_f]Luna[/name_f] is very pretty. Or [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] AnyNameYouLike because [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] honours [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] well enough you don’t need to use first and middle.
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Luna[/name_f] - I like [name_f]Luna[/name_f], but [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is so boring. Also (and this applies to [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Luna[/name_f] as well), not a fan of nn [name_u]Izzy[/name_u]. What’s wrong with [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_f]Elle[/name_f], [name_f]Lizzie[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], [name_f]Liza[/name_f], [name_u]Abbie[/name_u] or [name_f]Beth[/name_f]? I prefer all of those to [name_u]Izzy[/name_u].
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_u]Eden[/name_u] - very pretty. This name has the best flow and pairs really well with [name_f]Susanna[/name_f] [name_u]Lake[/name_u]. [name_f]Susanna[/name_f] & [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] are simply stunning for sisters. nn [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is sweet. That said, I prefer [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] to [name_f]Louisa[/name_f].
[name_f]Paloma[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f] - very different from all the other options. Sweet, but maybe too different from [name_f]Susanna[/name_f]. Not a fan of [name_f]Polly[/name_f].
So my favourites are [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_u]Eden[/name_u] & [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Luna[/name_f] (even though I would sub [name_f]Luna[/name_f] out for something else).
Thanks, everyone. [name_f]Luna[/name_f] is not an honor for [name_f]Louise[/name_f], rather a name we like and has symbolic meaning, like my daughter’s middle “[name_u]Lake[/name_u].” I am in the minority but actually like the “a” ending in the first and middle. I think it’s unique and melodic, though get it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.
I also know that [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] is very different from [name_f]Susanna[/name_f] in many ways, but both names have international appeal and have wonderful meanings. I would have a lily and a dove, which I just love!
I really like the suggestion of “[name_u]Isa[/name_u]” for [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]'s nickname! I could not imagine a daughter called [name_u]Lou[/name_u] or [name_u]Lou[/name_u] [name_u]Lou[/name_u] with a [name_f]Zuzu[/name_f], so that is great!
Also, nicknames are certainly not set in stone. [name_u]Billie[/name_u] is on the table for [name_f]Willa[/name_f] but not for sure, etc.
Oh! And [name_u]Eden[/name_u] also has special meaning to us, like [name_u]Lake[/name_u], is not trying to tribute [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. Lastly, I know the flow of [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] is imperfect, but there is something about it that I love. Flow is semi-important to me but I also think this is somewhat subjective.
