This is probably wrong but I thought it was pronounced SO-leh-us. But that’s probably because I’m getting it confused with a muscle in the lower part of the leg (soleus pron. so-[name_u]LEE[/name_u]-us).

Never seen or heard this name before.

Solea is so-[name_m]LAY[/name_m]-ah so I’d assume Soleas sounds like so- [name_m]LAY[/name_m]-us. It’s nice

we were thinking about going with [name_m]Sol[/name_m]-EH-As / [name_m]Sol[/name_m]-AY-Us like most of you voted (thankfully). [name_m]Sol[/name_m]-EE-As would be fine with us, too. it’s the same way you pronounce the female Solea, but i was wondering if the strong first syllable [name_m]Sol[/name_m]- would suggest emphasis. thanks again!

collmcc523, I work in the medical field and that’s the first thing I thought of as well. SO-lee-us.
