I like [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] well, although it isn’t quite my taste in names. [name_m]Grant[/name_m] on the other hand is just not a name that I can seem to get behind, as hard as I try. It just sounds so harsh, and reminds me of the word ‘grunt’, which doesn’t feel very intellectual to me.

They are both very handsome. I love [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] but adore [name_m]Grant[/name_m], so [name_m]Grant[/name_m] gets my vote.

You both need to adore the name.

Have you considered [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] or [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] [name_m]Grant[/name_m]?

This is hard! I think [name_m]Grant[/name_m] (last name) sounds best. [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] is perfect with your daughter’s names, though. Maybe he will look like one or the other. Have you considered [name_m]Calvin[/name_m]? I think it works well, too.

Wow. I didn’t expect this race to be tied!

[name_m]Grant[/name_m] for me.

I went for [name_m]Grant[/name_m].
[name_m]Conrad[/name_m] seems a bit stuffy to me, [name_m]Grant[/name_m] feels fresh as well as intellectual, masculine and the one-syllable aspect makes it feel very no-nonsense. Both go nicely with your daughter’s names, but [name_m]Grant[/name_m] really wins it for me.

I vastly prefer the sound of [name_m]Conrad[/name_m], which also has the lovely meaning “brave counsel”. I don’t like the sound of [name_m]Grant[/name_m]. It also means “large” which is not quite as pleasant or intellectual a meaning (though I suppose you could also think of it as being related to the verb or noun)

I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] both of these names, think both of them fit your description, and like the sib set too. My only criticism is a minor one, and one that I stick to in theory but didn’t end up practicing when it came to my own son’s name, so, take it with a grain of salt. [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] Carrell (guessing/approximating your last name) is a bit sing-songy (like all names with repeating initials), which might undermine your criteria. [name_m]Grant[/name_m] Carrell is so perfect, in my opinion.

I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_m]Grant[/name_m], so I’m voting on that, 75% because I just adore it so much. I also think it sounds better with your surname. I think [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] is lovely (ironically, my own combo is [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Frederic[/name_m] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m]!), but I don’t think it works as nice with your surname, but I think it does sound better with [name_f]Ros[/name_f]@lie and [name_m]Louis[/name_m]@. I think [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] “[name_m]Ferrell[/name_m]” is a super handsome name! And [name_f]Ros[/name_f]@lie, [name_m]Louis[/name_m]@, and [name_m]Grant[/name_m] make a lovely sibset, too. [name_m]Grant[/name_m]'s getting my vote.

Thanks everyone! We’ve settled on [name_m]Grant[/name_m]. [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] was my first choice, but I couldn’t get DH on board without bullying him into it, which I didn’t want to do. [name_m]Grant[/name_m] still feels like a [name_u]WIN[/name_u] for me. It’s a strong, solid name that is familiar but uncommon. I think our little boy will love it. Thanks everyone!

For me [name_m]Grant[/name_m] is a non-intellectual fairly weak name, so definitely [name_m]Conrad[/name_m]. Not sure how [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] will go with your surname though.

I like [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] slightly better on its own and with sisters, but I prefer [name_m]Grant[/name_m] with your last name. Hmmm…

Whoops just saw you’ve made a decision…congrats!
