The only [name]Jai[/name] I know is female, but I love it on a little girl! Sorry!
:o) Good luck finding that perfect name!
It reminds me of ‘[name]Jai[/name] HO!’ from slumdog millionaire which is by no means a bad association, however something about it doesn’t “work” for me - it seems incomplete which is weird because I REALLY like [name]Kai[/name] ([name]Kaiser[/name] is adorable on a dog! I love it!)
I don’t hate it, but I don’t love it either. Also, I don’t really think it goes with [name]Chloe[/name]. Sorry!
I like it but I’m a bit on the fence still. I like the pronunciation of it but honestly I thought it was a feminine alternative spelling to [name]Jay[/name]. Some how I should of known that’s not what you meant
I can see [name]Jai[/name] being pronounced as [name]Jay[/name]. I think the jeye pronunciation is way cooler then [name]Jay[/name]. I’ve never met anyone with this name so it’s brand new to me.
[name]Chloe[/name] and [name]Jai[/name]… At first glance they look like sisters. Of course there is [name]Kai[/name] which is used for boys but it too looks feminine.
I think [name]Jai[/name] would make a great middle name for a boy but I would stick with something more masculine for the first.
[name]Nicolai[/name]/[name]Nikolai[/name] and [name]Vrai[/name] ( French for “true”) both give the “eye” ending while remaining masculine (in my opinion).
I do like the sound of [name]Jai[/name] though.
Oh, and what about [name]Michaiah[/name] or even [name]Micah[/name]?
I go through birth announcements for my blog, http://names4real.wordpress.com/ and I see a lot of [name]Jai[/name]'s in Australia, but rarely in the U.S., but I think it works along with names like [name]Ty[/name] and [name]Kai[/name].
I think [name]Chloe[/name] and [name]Jai[/name] sound fine together.
I realize this is a response to an old post but I thought I would share what I know about the name “[name_u]Jai[/name_u].” It’s a sanskrit name from [name_f]India[/name_f], meaning “victory.” It rhymes with “eye.” If you wanted a longer name that had the nickname [name_u]Jai[/name_u], it would be “[name_f]Jaya[/name_f]”, which rhymes with [name_f]Maya[/name_f]. Some people may mistake it to sound like the English name [name_u]Jay[/name_u] with an “a” added onto it. There are a lot of beautiful and inspiring sanskrit chants with “[name_f]Jaya[/name_f]” in it, so this could be a very uplifting name choice. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] this was helpful!
