I’ve posted before about naming my daughter after my grandmother, but my grandmothers name (Jane) is not very melodic with the first name. Her maiden is maybe an option - Milliken. Her full name was Mary Jane. Another option is my name, Michelle. But I don’t feel particularly excited about giving a daughter my name. Would love to see which option has your vote!
I think [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_u]Blair[/name_u] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] works the best, but maybe you want a different version of [name_f]Jane[/name_f] to be an honor name?
[name_u]Blair[/name_u] [name_f]Joanna[/name_f] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] or [name_u]Blair[/name_u] [name_f]Giovanna[/name_f] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] flow better than [name_u]Blair[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. Also [name_u]Blair[/name_u] [name_f]Jeanette[/name_f] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] works well too, and could be a nod to your name, [name_f]Michelle[/name_f], since it’s a [name_u]French[/name_u] version of [name_f]Jane[/name_f].
I really like Milliken! I’d be tempted to consider [name_f]Millie[/name_f] too maybe… [name_u]Blair[/name_u] [name_f]Millie[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f], [name_f]Millie[/name_f] [name_u]Blair[/name_u]. I like [name_f]Michelle[/name_f] too but if you’re meh about it then I wouldn’t go that route.
I really like [name_u]Blair[/name_u] Milliken! [name_f]My[/name_f] daughter’s middle name is a family surname so I’m biased, but I think it’s a great way to tie family history to the name in a unique way. You won’t have to worry about her first/middle combo being trendy or dated.
