[name]Geneva[/name] - I adore this name, it’s definitely different, but it’s so beautiful. My favorite on your list! [name]Geneva[/name] [name]Annalee[/name]
[name]Verity[/name] - Pretty, rather off the beaten track compared to your other choices. [name]Verity[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name].
[name]Anya[/name] - this feels like a ‘cultural’ name to me, like you need to be Russian or something to pull it off, though it is very beautiful. [name]Anya[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]
[name]Alexandra[/name] - nice name, I like Xana as a nn. I don’t really like any of your mn’s with it though
[name]Sydney[/name] - meh, not my favorite, I know so many little [name]Sydney[/name]'s that it’s lost any spark it had, [name]Sydney[/name] [name]Anne[/name]
[name]Esther[/name] - lovely classic name though not much nn potential so it can be a bit stuffy. [name]Esther[/name] [name]Anne[/name]
[name]Amelie[/name] - I like this, though it feels Very French to me. I prefer [name]Amelia[/name]. [name]Amelie[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]
[name]Ellen[/name] - this feels very dull to me, I like [name]Elle[/name] and [name]Elie[/name] okay. [name]Ellen[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]
[name]Martha[/name] - like [name]Ellen[/name], this feels dated to me. [name]Martha[/name] [name]Anne[/name]
[name]Evanna[/name] - for some reason this name feels very dramatic to me, it’s just not really my style. I don’t really like any of your mn options with it either.
[name]Alice[/name] - I love [name]Alice[/name]! But I don’t feel like any in your list flow well with [name]Alice[/name] as a mn!
My favourites! I also like [name]Ellen[/name] and [name]Amelie[/name], but less so. [name]Ellen[/name] is pretty but slightly plain, and [name]Amelie[/name] is pretty but sounds slightly frilly and over girlie to me.
[name]Martha[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]
[name]Sydney[/name] [name]Anne[/name]
[name]Ellen[/name] [name]Leanne[/name]…
I like the name [name]Martha[/name], it’s a beautiful, classic name. [name]Verity[/name] is too trendy for me, as is [name]Anya[/name] too. I like [name]Geneva[/name] and [name]Esther[/name] alright, they sound more dated to me than [name]Martha[/name] and [name]Ellen[/name] for sure, but they are still nice names. [name]Evanna[/name] and [name]Amelie[/name] are pretty enough but don’t really flow that well with any of the proposed middle names.
@kalla_way, I have French heritage and my own name is french, [name]Jo[/name]ëlle, ([name]Joelle[/name]) so I really like the french connotations behind [name]Amelie[/name] and [name]Geneva[/name]! Thanks for all your comments!
Like the city I don’t particularly love the connection with the city (although my godmother did live there!) But I just love the name so much that it doesn’t bother me
I like these the best - lovely.
[name]Geneva[/name]
[name]Verity[/name] -
[name]Alexandra[/name]
[name]Amelie[/name]
[name]Anya[/name]
[name]Sydney[/name] - I don’t dislike this one, but I really prefer the ones I listed above.
[name]Ellen[/name] - nice, maybe slightly dull, but certainly a decent name.
[name]Martha[/name], [name]Esther[/name] - - I’m just not really into the sound of these names, but they are fine.
[name]Evanna[/name] - It has a pretty sound
Thanks guys I think [name]Verity[/name] and [name]Geneva[/name] are my favorites, but DH isn’t convinced! His favorite are [name]Sydney[/name], [name]Ellen[/name] and [name]Alexandra[/name], which I don’t mind, but I don’t [name]LOVE[/name] any of them
[name]Geneva[/name] - I’m not keen on place names on girls but this one works. You’ve got the retro [name]Genny[/name] or the more modern [name]Neve[/name]/[name]Neva[/name] as nns.
[name]Verity[/name] - Nms.
[name]Anya[/name] - I prefer [name]Anna[/name] but I do like [name]Anya[/name] as a variant, familiar but not overly popular and feminine but not frilly.
[name]Alexandra[/name] - Solid, classic choice.
[name]Sydney[/name] - Not bad, might be seen as chavvy in some areas but one of few unisex names I prefer on a girl.
[name]Esther[/name] - Classic, though I’m not overly fond of it, it seems quite abrupt.
[name]Amelie[/name] - Nice variant on [name]Amelia[/name], though both are pretty popular.
[name]Ellen[/name] - My favourite of the [name]Ell[/name]- names, though I’m not keen on nn [name]Ellie[/name].
[name]Martha[/name] - I like this as well, I think it’s really pretty and underused.
[name]Evanna[/name] - Prefer just [name]Eve[/name] or [name]Anna[/name], this feels like a blended name to me.
I really like [name]Anya[/name], [name]Sydney[/name] and [name]Amelie[/name]. I actuall love [name]Annalee[/name]- I think it’s a cute twist on [name]Anna[/name] and [name]Annabelle[/name]. Would you consider it for a first name? My favourite combos are:
It was tough for me to choose between [name]Verity[/name] and [name]Geneva[/name] – two great, fresh choices. Wish you could get your husband on board!
I agree with many others [name]Ellen[/name] and [name]Martha[/name] are a bit blah, [name]Ellen[/name] more than [name]Martha[/name]. [name]Sydney[/name]'s time has come and gone. The other choices don’t grab me.
