I really like [name]Fairuza[/name]!! I think it sounds beautiful and sophisticated. Can you say more about how you discovered this name? I see that according to nameberry, it is a Turkish name - are you of Turkish descent?

I am assuming that Firoza is pronounced differently, and I don’t like it as much - I think it sounds more masculine. Is it a feminization of the [name]Indian[/name] boy name Firoz?

I prefer [name]Fairuza[/name] to Firoza

Nms though

I discovered [name]Fairuza[/name] on nameberry, I am not of Turkish descent,
I just like exotic names. In fact, I found Firoza doing just that (looking up Romani names) and I was hooked (this was before I found [name]Fairuza[/name] on nameberry) all the sites I went on said Firoza meant [name]Turquoise[/name]. I don’t know if this is correct but I always prn. it like Feer-Oh!-Zah the Fir- part should rhyme with the beginning of “(Ir)ritating”
I’m glad you like it, I just added the poll

[name]Hi[/name]!

I think that [name]Fairuza[/name] is lovely… According to Behind the Name, [name]Fairuza[/name]'s usage is Iranian. It’s a variation of Firuza, which either means “turquiose” or is a feminine form of Firuz, meaning “successful” in Persian. I couldn’t find Firoza, but maybe it’s a feminine form of Firoz (variation of the previously mentioned Firuz)?
