So many pretty names!
[name_m]Can[/name_m] I just comment on them all in order of my favorite to least favorite?
Boys-
[name_u]Asa[/name_u] Eneko-I’ve never heard the name [name_m]Eneko[/name_m], but it’s so cool! I love love love [name_u]Asa[/name_u]. It’s beautiful & gentle but feels wise & masculine. It’s vintage & unique but not complicated. [name_u]Asa[/name_u] [name_m]Eneko[/name_m] has such lovely alliteration (without actually being the same letter.)
[name_u]August[/name_u] [name_m]Barnaby[/name_m] ‘Auggie/Gus’-Barnaby is so cute, but I’d never been brave enough to use it as a fn. It feels perfect in the mn spot with the lovely [name_u]August[/name_u]. [name_u]August[/name_u] is strong & handsome but kind. It’s classic & gives me warm summer vibes. I like [name_u]Gus[/name_u] & I love [name_u]Augie[/name_u] (really prefer this spelling for some reason.)
[name_u]Ira[/name_u] Percival-I love [name_u]Ira[/name_u] too. It’s just the perfect amount of quirky old man name but feels fresh & artsy. It’s simple & well known but not at all popular. [name_m]Percival[/name_m] is fun & just a little too out there for a fn for me personally. Great as a mn though.
[name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] Oak-I’ve always liked [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] (I’m so picky about spelling; I think that [name_m]Nicolas[/name_m] looks prettier). But either way, it’s a nice solid name. I mainly like it for the nn [name_u]Nico[/name_u] though. [name_f]Cozy[/name_f] & [name_m]Klaus[/name_m] aren’t my favorites; but maybe [name_m]Klaus[/name_m] is kind of fun. [name_u]Oak[/name_u] is a super cool mn; love the nature imagery. I also [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] Oakley; it flows a little better.
[name_u]Asher[/name_u] Peregrine-I love how all of your mns are basically names that I like a lot but are too out there for me to consider. [name_u]Peregrine[/name_u] is so neat & I like this combo. [name_u]Asher[/name_u] is handsome & I like how it reminds me of a bonfire in [name_f]Autumn[/name_f].
[name_u]Wallace[/name_u] Indiana-Hm. I like [name_u]Indiana[/name_u] as a mn a lot, but I don’t know if the styles of [name_u]Wallace[/name_u] & [name_u]Indiana[/name_u] really fit. I mainly don’t know if I love the sound of [name_u]Wallace[/name_u], but I like that it’s old fashioned & unique. And I do think that [name_u]Ace[/name_u] is adorable, but could be a nn for basically any ‘A’ name as well in my opinion.
[name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] Bellamy-I don’t dislike this, but I don’t know. It’s a cool combo. I just don’t like the sound of [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u]. I guess it’s the ‘soy’ sound.
[name_u]Alder[/name_u] Nicholas-Nice combo, but for some reason [name_u]Alder[/name_u] doesn’t do it for me. I like [name_u]Arthur[/name_u], [name_m]Albert[/name_m], [name_u]Asher[/name_u] and other similar names. [name_m]Just[/name_m] can’t get into [name_u]Alder[/name_u], but it’s not unpleasant.
[name_u]Logan[/name_u] Brave-This is a good combo too, but [name_u]Logan[/name_u] is way too over done & trendy for me.
[name_u]Harper[/name_u] Graham-I do find [name_u]Harper[/name_u] more masculine, but I don’t think that I like it period. It’s just so over done for girls.
Girls-
[name_f]Maple[/name_f] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] ‘Mae’-This is such an adorable combo. I love Louisa; it’s on my favorites list. [name_f]Maple[/name_f] is super sweet; I find it more cheerful than [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] & I love the tree imagery. I like [name_f]May[/name_f] as a full name, but I don’t like [name_f]Mae[/name_f] as much. Not sure why. I think it’s fine as a nn though.
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_u]Noon[/name_u] ‘Rosie/Sally’-I love [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]. So classy & lovable. I don’t know if I love the mn [name_u]Noon[/name_u], but it’s interesting, at least. I like just [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], but [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] is a good nn. I really like [name_f]Sally[/name_f] & understand how it comes from [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] while looking at it. But it doesn’t sound like it should come from [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f].
[name_f]Eve[/name_f] Marigold-I love the sleek little black dress (yet slightly pixie-ish) [name_f]Eve[/name_f] with the floral [name_f]Marigold[/name_f]. Such a pretty combo & two great names. The only thing that I don’t like it that [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] & [name_f]Evie[/name_f] are so popular. But [name_f]Eve[/name_f] not as much.
[name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f] ‘Dot’-Dorothy is classic & charming & I think that [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f] sounds nice. I like just [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] or [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] nn [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] more than [name_f]Dot[/name_f] though.
[name_f]Apolline[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] ‘Poppy’-This is really fun & different. I like the sleek down to [name_f]Earth[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] with the quirky [name_f]Apolline[/name_f]. [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] is clever & works well; I more so even like [name_f]Polly[/name_f].
[name_f]Noemie[/name_f] Rosalind-Pretty combo, but I kind of want this to be [name_f]Noemi[/name_f]. Either way, I like the idea of this name more than I like saying it out loud. It’s not bad though.
Ellaby [name_f]Mae[/name_f] ‘Bee’-This name feels a little made-up-y, but I kind of love the way it sounds anyway. I’d suggest something like [name_f]Estella[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] nn [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Bee[/name_f]!
Andeline [name_f]Rose[/name_f] ‘Andie’-I like [name_f]Andie[/name_f] more than [name_f]Addie[/name_f], so I totally want to like this…but it feels too made-up & really hard to say. Because I love [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] & I think this would get messed up a lot.
[name_f]Eulalia[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f] ‘Lalie’-This is unique & looks pretty, but I have no idea how to say it. It’s a bit tricky!
[name_u]Afton[/name_u] Lily-I love [name_f]Lily[/name_f] & it softens up [name_u]Afton[/name_u], but I just don’t like how [name_u]Afton[/name_u] looks or sounds.
[name_u]Prairie[/name_u] Annabelle-The combo sounds good, but I just don’t think that I like [name_u]Prairie[/name_u] as a name.
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.
