We are currently TTC and my husband has finally agreed on a couple of potential boys names which I love Our daughter is Zara, mn Kate. Many of you have kindly given lots of suggestions on a separate post, so we have quite a few girls names on the list now but boys are proving to be much more difficult for us
So… for a boy… which do you prefer, Rome or Jude? please vote!
Also feel free to suggest any other boys names with a similar feel? Our surname is Gr££nan which isn’t the easiest to find a nice match!
And any middle name suggestions you think would fit would be amazing too
I think [name_u]Jude[/name_u] is more cohesive with Zar@
[name_u]Jude[/name_u] is handsome, upbeat and fun. I also feel [name_u]Jude[/name_u] has a more classic sound which is very in keeping with Zar@. They are a really sweet pair.
I also like R0me but I just think R0me feels very stylistically different from Zar@ so that’s what made me love [name_u]Jude[/name_u].
I think [name_u]Rome[/name_u] has the same uniqueness and spark as [name_f]Zara[/name_f]. [name_u]Jude[/name_u] is a little too common to match it IMO.
Middle suggestions (going after your daughter’s more “common” middle):
Thank you! From your suggestions I like [name_u]Ezra[/name_u], [name_u]Miles[/name_u] and [name_u]Theo[/name_u]. [name_u]Leo[/name_u] has been my daughter’s favourite for a while
Thank you! I do hear [name_u]Jude[/name_u] everywhere at the moment. It’s not too popular where we live, but it definitely pops up a lot online.
I love [name_u]Rome[/name_u] [name_m]Xavier[/name_m] I had a colleague whose son was named [name_m]Xavier[/name_m] (nn Xavi) and I always thought it was so charming.
[name_u]Rome[/name_u] is charming, with that stylish flair of [name_f]Zara[/name_f] - something adventurous but sunny about it!
[name_u]Jude[/name_u] is handsome, versatile, established but on trend, cool, with a sort of relaxed feel. I think I like [name_u]Jude[/name_u] best personally, but both are great!
Ooh my vote definitely goes to [name_u]Rome[/name_u]! It’s so chic and strong next to [name_f]Zara[/name_f]. I think [name_u]Jude[/name_u] it really cute but next to [name_f]Zara[/name_f] it kind of feels plain? Maybe cause it’s kind of popular right now? I also think [name_m]Roman[/name_m] would be really nice with [name_f]Zara[/name_f]. Some suggestions, could be used for a middle or for other first name suggestions~
[name_f]Zara[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] and [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Anton[/name_m]
[name_f]Zara[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] and [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_u]Elliott[/name_u]
[name_f]Zara[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] and [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_u]Sinclair[/name_u]
I LOVE the name [name_u]Jude[/name_u] … however, I voted for [name_u]Rome[/name_u].
I think [name_f]Zara[/name_f] and [name_u]Rome[/name_u] sound like a nicer sibling pairing, because they’re both borderline out there (in a great way - it’s the perfect amount of “Ooh, that’s unique!”).
Middle names, hmm … what about [name_u]Rome[/name_u] [name_u]Henry[/name_u]? (something short and classic, much like Kate)
