Personally I prefer the more sophisticated [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] with Zar@ I just find the pairing more complete. I appreciate why your hesitant about [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_u]Rose[/name_u] as this feels very descriptive but maybe using a [name_u]Rose[/name_u] name variant like [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] could work as those feel less descriptive. If you want a similar feel to Kat3 maybe [name_u]Anne[/name_u], [name_u]Jean[/name_u], [name_u]June[/name_u], [name_f]Eve[/name_f] and [name_f]Joy[/name_f] work as middle names for [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f].
I hope OK to say over the internet abyss - but I found it quite hard to vote on your list so far. I find [name_f]Zara[/name_f] K_ to be such a sophisticated and international name (while also still having a somewhat storybook sweetness) but the names in the list felt too hip and less timeless than Z.K. I don’t think siblings’ names need to perfectly match but I do think they should be broadly fair if that makes sense.
I much prefer [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] and [name_u]Remy[/name_u] for boys, but [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] is anyway too close in sound to [name_f]Zara[/name_f] for me. [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] might also rhyme a little too much with [name_f]Zara[/name_f] but it’s the closest match imo to [name_f]Zara[/name_f] in terms of style and staying power. I don’t warm to [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] - unless it’s a nickname for [name_f]Frances[/name_f] (though I would use [name_f]Franny[/name_f] or Francy). It also seems a little of its time. I really like [name_u]Indie[/name_u] but I would choose [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] nn [name_u]Indie[/name_u].
Anyway, take or leave as always, here are some ideas for names I think are up there with [name_f]Zara[/name_f] K@te that may at least spark others or make you more sure of your list:
I think [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] is beautiful with big sister [name_f]Zara[/name_f] K@te! Maybe [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_u]Romy[/name_u] (sort of has the sounds of [name_u]Remy[/name_u] and [name_u]Rose[/name_u] without having the super descriptive [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] Rose?), [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] (tried [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_u]Indie[/name_u] but somehow it didn’t feel right?), [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f], [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_u]Camille[/name_u], [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Tess[/name_f]?
With [name_f]Zara[/name_f], my favorite first name is [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]. [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_u]Rose[/name_u] could work but here are some other ideas:
I absolutely love [name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_u]Rose[/name_u], both as a standalone name and as a sister to [name_f]Zara[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]! You have some really cute choices though, I don’t think you could go wrong.
I voted [name_u]Indie[/name_u] [name_u]Rose[/name_u] and [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]. [name_f]Jane[/name_f] would be a great middle with [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f].
Thank you! No I don’t mind at all. The Zar and Scar thing doesn’t bother me as we are Scottish and both names are pronounced differently so they don’t rhyme.
I LOVE [name_u]Romy[/name_u], this is my all time favourite girls name, but my husband doesn’t which breaks my heart
[name_u]Piper[/name_u] is a great suggestion, I also really like [name_f]Paloma[/name_f]
[name_f]Hallie[/name_f] was on our list before, unsure why we took it off so think I’ll add it back. And I adore [name_u]Romy[/name_u] but my husband doesn’t
Oh rats, [name_u]Romy[/name_u] in a Scottish accent would be next level! And for that matter I think [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] is way cooler (and less honky) in a Scottish context, though I still prefer as nn. Let’s hope your husband can get on board with some of these, and yes, [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] is a “one that got away” for me (or whatever the equivalent is for beloved names unused). Would be go for [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] or [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] nn [name_u]Romy[/name_u] or is [name_u]Romy[/name_u] just off the cards - it’s so mid century/ old Hollywood chic to me.
I think if it was [name_u]Romy[/name_u] I would want it to just be [name_u]Romy[/name_u]. I could try and get him to warm to it as a middle name. [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_u]Romy[/name_u] has a lovely charm to it
I am a just [name_u]Romy[/name_u] fan too - was a “hospital” name for my daughter (top 5 names). I would aim for [name_u]Romy[/name_u] [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] but [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_u]Romy[/name_u] is a win too.
