We’re very torn between our top three names for a baby boy due the first week of September! Please vote for which one is your favorite, and if you want to give your reasons why in the comments that would be nice too. I know they are all polar opposites of each other, which is what’s making it so hard for us to pick! We love them all equally but for different reasons!
Also last name starts with L and is two syllables.
- Gideon Atlas L-
- Rivet Lux L-
- Odyssey Hale L-
gideon atlas is lovely! to me, odyssey is a bit of a weighty first name to carry, and also sounds sort of like “odd to see hale” or “odd to see hail” in the context of the combo. i think that both gideon and atlas are totally usable names, while odyssey, hale, rivet, and lux don’t provide as much of a fallback.

[name_m]Gideon[/name_m] [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] feels really well balanced. Cool, but classic and grounded.
If you were to go for [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] I’d suggest a new middle to avoid the initials spelling GAL. I could see the teasing factor that could cause for a boy.
I like the syllable break up that the Odyssey [name_u]Hale[/name_u] L combo has.
Rivet [name_u]Lux[/name_u] sounds cool but I’m unsure about [name_u]Lux[/name_u] going with an L last name.
