And I live in the southern US, if that makes any difference on votes
I adore [name_f]Mabel[/name_f]! So cosy and cool with a charming meaning
I’m from the [name_u]Southern[/name_u] US originally. I think it’s a winner! The nn Mae/May is on trend (in a good way) and the vintage feel is very southern to me almost like a reprisal of a grandmother’s name. People are using [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] and [name_f]Etta[/name_f] and [name_u]Hazel[/name_u] - [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] totally fits in with those ladies to me!
[name_f]Mabel[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] come to mind for combos!
I keep thinking about the daughter from the show mad about you, and how they got it from an acronym they made, Mothers Always Bring Extra [name_u]Love[/name_u]. I like it:)
I’ve grown to love the name [name_f]Mabel[/name_f], it’s just so sweetly old fashioned without feeling overly dusty, and it’s such a nicely feminine name without being too frilly. If you’re into nicknames, it’s the perfect way to get to [name_f]Mae[/name_f]. I also love the meaning of [name_f]Mabel[/name_f]! It’s an amazing name all around
I like those names too, apparently that’s my style .
We had a Mabel that was sort of a surrogate grandmother to my husband and that’s part of why it came up! And also, both my dad and brother’s names start with Ma-. My brother’s daughter is named after me, so it sort of feels like 2 birds with 1 stone!
I remember that too! And an added meaning!!
totally works for all ages, but i just can’t get over the fact that it sounds so much like ‘table’
I’ve loved [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] since I’m a kid. And so many names fit for the middle
I’ve always been in love with [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] and [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
Ha! I hadn’t ever thought about that!
