I don’t think it’d get mistaken for [name_u]Hillary[/name_u]! And it definitely feels more fresh and trendy to me. [name_f]My[/name_f] biggest issue with it is that I just can’t unhear “celery”
[name_u]Ellery[/name_u] has been a love for me since I was a kid! I think it has such a fun energy but also could suit any kind of person. I’d love to meet a little [name_u]Ellery[/name_u] someday!
i think ellery is a sweet, modern name (it does feel fresh and bright, yes!), and i like it objectively, but it just sounds like an, improvised adjective to me ?? like “do you like it?” “not really, it’s just a bit… eller-y”. for some reason, i don’t have that problem with the spelling ellory, which looks a bit more classic and balanced to me, less like celery, and feels more like a name.
I wouldn’t have thought of celery initially, but after you mentioned it, I couldn’t un-hear it… too bad, as the name [name_u]Ellery[/name_u] itself is quite cute & lively!
I read a book about a girl named [name_u]Ellery[/name_u] when I was a kid and I’ve loved it ever since! I personally don’t think of celery… Lots of names rhyme with other words and it’s not a problem!
