[name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] would work?
Also have been getting a lot of suggestions for [name_f]Louisa[/name_f], but not about it…
Not sure about it, sorry for typo
I love [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] with [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] and [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]! It has the same number of syllables without be matchy, and doesn’t look too short or too long. It also has great nickname choices that go well with [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] and [name_u]Josie[/name_u]. It’s perfect!
It depends. If I’m thinking a sister for [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] and [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], it’s [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]. If I’m thinking a sister for [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] and [name_u]Josie[/name_u], it’s [name_f]Agnes[/name_f]. Would you use [name_f]Aggie[/name_f] for [name_f]Agnes[/name_f]?
Yes I like [name_f]Aggie[/name_f]. That is a good thought.
We call our girls [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] or Syl and [name_u]Josie[/name_u] or [name_u]Jojo[/name_u]. When we introduce them or they introduce themselves they say [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] and [name_u]Josie[/name_u].
So really with any of these names we would be calling them: a version of [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Aggie[/name_f], [name_f]Vivi[/name_f], [name_f]Milly[/name_f], and [name_f]Marti[/name_f]
I like [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]!
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] does fit with [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] & [name_f]Josephine[/name_f].
It seems like people like [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], any ideas for nicknames?
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you like [name_f]Milly[/name_f] or [name_f]Vivi[/name_f] with [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] and [name_u]Josie[/name_u]?
I think [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] goes best with [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] and [name_f]Josephine[/name_f].
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] and [name_f]Vivi[/name_f] seem a little bit close as sisters for me, with the -vee sound in both names. [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], [name_u]Josie[/name_u] and [name_f]Milly[/name_f] work better than [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], [name_u]Josie[/name_u] and [name_f]Vivi[/name_f], I feel.
As for nicknames for [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], there’s a ton. The most common ones are [name_f]Liz[/name_f]/zie, [name_f]Libby[/name_f], [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_f]Beth[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_f]Liza[/name_f] - like any of those?
I like [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] and [name_f]Lizzie[/name_f] but fear they are so common. [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] and. [name_u]Josie[/name_u] are somewhat unique and I don’t want there to be 2 or three [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]'s in her grade. Not that it’s a huge deal but I grew up as the only. [name_f]Molly[/name_f] in my grade.
I agree [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] works but [name_f]Vivi[/name_f] seems a lot like [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] because of the “v” sound.
I like [name_f]Milly[/name_f] but don’t know how to get there. [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] my husband does not love and he hates [name_f]Mildred[/name_f]
We both love [name_f]Aggie[/name_f] but [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] is growing on us.
This naming stuff is hard
My vote was [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f].
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], [name_u]Josie[/name_u], and [name_f]Libby[/name_f]- My favorite
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], [name_u]Josie[/name_u], and [name_f]Lizzie[/name_f]- adore this
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], [name_u]Josie[/name_u], and [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]- Like
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], [name_u]Josie[/name_u], and [name_f]Vivi[/name_f]- I agree with PP the “vi” is a little close
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], [name_u]Josie[/name_u], and [name_f]Milly[/name_f]- [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like [name_f]Millie[/name_f]? Seems like it would flow with the spellings of the others better.
I do like [name_f]Millie[/name_f]
My vote is for [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] nn [name_f]Aggie[/name_f], [name_f]Martha[/name_f] nn [name_u]Mattie[/name_u], or [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] nn [name_f]Lulu[/name_f].
Those seem to be the three that fit best with both [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] and [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] and [name_u]Josie[/name_u].
I’m most leaning towards [name_f]Agnes[/name_f], since it doesn’t have the a-ending, and that way each girl has a different ending-sound
I like [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] best! It has the same classic/vintage feel. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] would be my second choice.
[name_f]Agnes[/name_f] fits well but I’m not a huge fan of the name. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] would be perfect.
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] nicknames: [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_f]Lizzie[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], [name_f]Beth[/name_f], [name_f]Lilibeth[/name_f], [name_f]Lilibet[/name_f], [name_f]Liz[/name_f], Bethie, [name_f]Lizbeth[/name_f], [name_f]Elle[/name_f], [name_f]Elsbeth[/name_f], [name_f]Lizbet[/name_f], [name_f]Liza[/name_f], [name_f]Ella[/name_f].
So I think martha is off the list. I am fine with that. And I feel like we finally have some solid names to start to throw around, and see what sticks. I know it sounds weird but we try saying them aloud to see if anyone of them sounds right.
[name_m]Just[/name_m] one last question because this has been my most helpful thread ever. Is there a name that is not on this list that you think we are missing that would be absolutely perfect for us?
