im not sure where you are but [name_m]Owen[/name_m] is by far the boy name I see most often as a preschool teacher! not a bad name but definitely not what I’d call refreshing or unexpected.

I don’t think that for any of these, honestly. They’re all pretty common, at least where I am.

Haven’t met a [name_m]Rhys[/name_m] yet. I think [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] is the softest name.

[name_f]Love[/name_f] these names! I think [name_m]Owen[/name_m] and [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] are the softest, though they’re all pretty soft sounding to me.

To me [name_m]Dean[/name_m] sounds the softest. Also the most uncommon.
The rest aren’t uncommon.

I wouldn’t consider any of these unexpected. I know multiple people (of all ages) with these names and/or hear them very often at children’s places (parks, library, etc). I do like a lot of them, I just wouldn’t consider them unexpected. I think they’re all pretty soft sounding besides maybe not [name_m]Dean[/name_m], but if I had to choose I’d say [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] or [name_m]Owen[/name_m] are the softest.

[name_m]Dean[/name_m] and [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] would be the most unexpected where we live (and happen to be the two I’ve been crushing on lately so I’d be super delighted to hear either)

I’d feel most surprised by [name_m]Rhys[/name_m] or [name_m]Dean[/name_m], but most pleasantly surprised to meet a little [name_m]Jasper[/name_m], because despite its popularity where I am, I rarely hear it! [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] also feels softest to me.

[name_m]Dean[/name_m] is probably the most unexpected, but I also think it has the least soft sound of all the names on the list, so I voted for [name_m]Rhys[/name_m]! A bit more unexpected than some of the others (although I agree with some previous posters that none of them are really unexpected) and with a softer sound. Probably the best combination of the 2 qualities you’re looking for.

[name_m]Just[/name_m] based on sound, I’d probaby say [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] is the softest one, though.

[name_f]My[/name_f] personal favourites are [name_m]Rhys[/name_m] and [name_m]Dean[/name_m]! If I would have been able to pick 3 I would’ve chosen [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] for my 3rd

[name_m]Arthur[/name_m] and [name_m]Owen[/name_m] are both nice but I’ve heard [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] being used a lot more recently and I grew up with so many [name_m]Owens[/name_m]

You may also like [name_m]Emrys[/name_m]! It is very similar in style to [name_m]Rhys[/name_m] and not as popular or heard of!

Yes I looked at [name_m]Emrys[/name_m] but I’m learning it’s pronounced Em-riss instead of Em-Rees. I don’t know though as I’m not super familiar with it.

I LOVE [name_m]Rhys[/name_m]!

I voted for [name_m]Dean[/name_m] as unexpected and refreshing as it is not heard very often and I like short names. [name_m]Rhys[/name_m] would be second for soft name.

Yes it’s pronounced em-riss! If you prefer a rees to riss prononciation you may also like [name_m]Emre[/name_m] / Emren / [name_m]Emeric[/name_m] or even do Emreis / Emres

I do still love [name_m]Rhys[/name_m] and [name_m]Dean[/name_m] equally to [name_m]Emrys[/name_m] too!
