I prefer [name_f]Polly[/name_f] (or Poppy) as a nickname over [name_u]Penny[/name_u].

[name_f]Polly[/name_f] is not very obvious nn, but I think it’s super mega adorable! I would absolutely choose it over any other intuitive nn for [name_f]Penelope[/name_f].

Yes! I do think you’d need to use it a bit more often than a more intuitive nickname but it definitely feels natural.

I do think it works, and it makes me think of a 19th century girl in a book; there were actually quite a few books from that period with Pollys, and I could easily imagine it being a nickname for a different longer name. (I was thinking of a [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] [name_u]Alcott[/name_u] book called Old Fashioned [name_f]Girl[/name_f] where the main character is named [name_f]Polly[/name_f], and there is another character named [name_f]Jane[/name_f] but called [name_f]Jenny[/name_f] interchangeably)
