[name]Hi[/name] Berries! I’ve recently discovered this site and I’m obsessed! I love the names and ideas people have. I’m due with my first baby in [name]September[/name] and will find out if it’s a boy or girl in less than two weeks. I’m so excited and I can’t wait to start really figuring out a name. Although I’m not positive, I feel like she could be a girl and I’d love some help putting combinations together. Any opinions and new ideas welcome as well!
First name loves: [name]Poppy[/name], [name]Serena[/name], [name]Claudia[/name], [name]Summer[/name], [name]Georgiana[/name], Haesley (family name, pronounced Hazely), [name]Colette[/name] and [name]Sadie[/name].
Middle names: Want to honor family–[name]Jane[/name], [name]Dorothy[/name], [name]Clementine[/name], [name]Priscilla[/name], [name]Rae[/name], [name]Linda[/name], [name]Quinn[/name], [name]Adelaide[/name], [name]Mary[/name]
Other MN options I love: [name]Inez[/name], [name]Agnes[/name], [name]Clemence[/name], [name]Lark[/name], [name]Auria[/name], [name]Paloma[/name], [name]Juniper[/name] (I think some of these balance out the sweetness of some of the first names)
ps- I adore Haesley [name]Jane[/name], but not sure if this would work in the real world?
Thanks for your help!
I actually like [name]Poppy[/name] [name]Quinn[/name] or even Haesley [name]Mary[/name] or [name]Jane[/name] sounds pretty!!! They are a few a like. I think it could work but it is a little bit old fashioned.
I just love [name]Poppy[/name]! I wish I could use it but we have a P last name and it’s too much. From your list I also like [name]Claudia[/name] and [name]Sadie[/name]. We are considering some of the same middle names as you ([name]LOVE[/name] [name]Clementine[/name]). I like the sound of Haesley but the spelling will be hard her whole life because it’s so unusual…just something to consider.
I love [name]Serena[/name] and I really like [name]Summer[/name] and [name]Georgiana[/name], and [name]Colette[/name].
I think [name]Poppy[/name] is a silly name for a person, especially an adult. [name]Claudia[/name] is okay, but the meaning kill me, Haesley; while being a family name, looks made up and trendy, so it loses points. [name]Sadie[/name] is a bit nicknamey for a first name imo.
I like [name]Jane[/name], [name]Quinn[/name], [name]Adelaide[/name], [name]Auria[/name], [name]Juniper[/name]. The rest are nms at all.
Haesley [name]Jane[/name] is fine, but again the Haesley is so madeup looking to me. I can’t take it seriously. [name]Serena[/name] Haesely is much better, for example. Or you could modify Haesley to [name]Hazel[/name].
[name]Serena[/name] Haesley - yes yes yes!
[name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Lark[/name] - fantastic. The first name is classic and feminine with the middle being a little snazzier, more modern, yet uplifting! Honestly, [name]Lark[/name] is my favorite middle name on the list if you’re going to go with any sort of longer, -ia ending first name.
I like [name]Poppy[/name] but have a hard time putting it in the first spot.
[name]Summer[/name] [name]Clemence[/name] - [name]Truly[/name], [name]Summer[/name] isn’t a favorite name of mine but this combo strikes me as well rounded.
[name]Claudia[/name] [name]Quinn[/name] has a nice ring to it. The near-alliteration and varied backgrounds of the two names sets it apart. However, I really don’t think you can go wrong with [name]Quinn[/name] in the middle.
[name]Paloma[/name] is such a fabulous, under-valued middle. However, I’m having trouble matching it up well with your first names. I think it sounds best with [name]Sadie[/name], [name]Sadie[/name] [name]Paloma[/name], just because they’re so different. Perhaps you have other snappy one or two syllable first name favorites you could pair with the fair [name]Paloma[/name]!
Haesley [name]Juniper[/name] is so wonderful and happy-looking… You’ll definitely have some spelling problems with Haesley, but honestly with the family background it’ll be worth it. Plus, it’s hard to find a name that won’t be spelled or pronounced incorrectly at some point in time. Even [name]Jane[/name] can turn to [name]Jean[/name] when it’s a busy day at Starbucks.
And truly, [name]Hazel[/name] is a top 5 favorite of mine. So if you wouldn’t be totally crushed to switch it over, a million more options would open up for you!!
Thoroughly enjoyed your names! Welcome to nameberry.
[name]Hi[/name] again! Thanks for all of these wonderful suggestions. Many of you recommended the name [name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Lark[/name]. Gasp! I am in love with this combo. [name]Even[/name] DH, who is not a fan of [name]Georgiana[/name], is impressed. Maybe I’ll get to keep it on my list after all!
The name we both love is [name]Poppy[/name] and that’s been our name for awhile, but of course, now we’re re-thinking. I can see that [name]Poppy[/name] is a love it/really dislike it name and I’m okay with that. What has me rethinking is our last name, which is [name]Eddie[/name]. Is that too cutesy, [name]Poppy[/name] [name]Eddie[/name]? (I know we could do [name]Penelope[/name], but we only like that name).
DH really likes [name]Summer[/name]. I like it a lot, especially with the combinations of [name]Summer[/name] [name]Auria[/name] or [name]Summer[/name] [name]Clemence[/name].
So, names I’m loving from this post are:
[name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Lark[/name]
[name]Summer[/name] [name]Auria[/name]/[name]Clemence[/name]
[name]Claudia[/name] [name]Jane[/name] (it is a shame about the meaning, isn’t it lame? poor girl would hate that)
[name]Poppy[/name] [name]Inez[/name]/[name]Clemence[/name]
[name]Serena[/name] Haesley/[name]Lark[/name]
If anyone has new first or middle name suggestions based on my likes, feel free to offer. New ideas are welcome as DH may be tough (he’s a teacher and has seen so many names and has so many associations, it’s frustrating). DH also loves classic names while mama loves beautiful and sweet names with a cool middle.
[name]One[/name] week to go and then I’ll find out if it she really is a girl!
Thanks again!!!
I love your choices! A lot of good ones. Try lopping off the first names or second middle for more options but here’s what I thought of.
Haesley [name]Summer[/name] [name]Clementine[/name]
[name]Hazel[/name] [name]Mary[/name] [name]Adelaide[/name] (more streamlined)
[name]Sadie[/name] [name]Jane[/name] [name]Agnes[/name]
[name]Poppy[/name] [name]Theodora[/name] [name]Mae[/name] (switching up [name]Dorothy[/name], like it a bit better)
My tastes always trend toward vintage spunky but not too trendy, and i love feminizations of more clunky male names- so I like [name]Claudia[/name], [name]Georgina[/name], and [name]Rae[/name], and I think [name]Jane[/name] is one of those names that is impossible to hate. [name]Poppy[/name] is sweet and British but I love [name]Phillipa[/name] nn [name]Pippa[/name] so much more, it has the same vibe but more substance. [name]Serena[/name] is lovely and [name]Serena[/name] [name]Jane[/name] or [name]Serena[/name] Haesley are both classic without feeling very formal, [name]Serenity[/name] [name]Jane[/name] is similar and lovely with a great virtue meaning. Besides those my favorite combos are
[name]Georgina[/name] [name]Rae[/name]/[name]Lark[/name]
[name]Poppy[/name] [name]Adelaide[/name]
[name]Claudia[/name] [name]Mary[/name] [name]Quinn[/name] ([name]Mary[/name] always sounds weird as a middle to me by itself)
[name]Dorothy[/name] nn dot/[name]Dottie[/name] [name]Juniper[/name] is cute too
