Popular names that your not a fan of

For me it’s [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f], [name_f]Imogen[/name_f], [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], and [name_f]Elodie[/name_f]. Also this is not meant to offend anyone.

[name_f]Imogen[/name_f]
[name_f]Grace[/name_f] (I think it’s the amount of curved letters)

Names I would never choose in the top 10: Emma, Amelia, Mia, Liam, Lucas

Any other in the top 10 I like!

[name_f]Lily[/name_f]: I used to think it was sweet (with the flower association and everything), but it just doesn’t sound as appealing to me. It lacks substance. Also, I find it impossible to picture on a grown woman.

[name_f]Ava[/name_f]: Honestly, this one just needs a century-long break. It sounds nice, but I’m hearing it way too much. I swear, every girl I meet nowadays is called [name_f]Ava[/name_f]. The drawback of this name IS its popularity.

[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]: I love this name in terms of aesthetics (how it looks spelt out) but the pronunciation isn’t making me love it. I think it’s the ‘e’ sound in particular (which is why I prefer Amalia). I like [name_f]Adelia[/name_f], though.

[name_u]Liam[/name_u]: I don’t know why, but for some reason, I associate this name with the taste of lemons. This name tastes sour on my tongue. I adore most of the Top Ten boys’ names, but this one I can’t get behind.

[name_u]Benjamin[/name_u]: I’ve never been a fan of the name [name_m]Ben[/name_m]. It just doesn’t sound cool to me. That’s the main drawback I have towards choosing the name [name_u]Bennett[/name_u] (which I otherwise love) for a boy. The most common full form of this name though, [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u], does not make any significant improvements.

[name_u]Arlo[/name_u]: I get it, it sounds appealing. Thing is, it just sounds way too much like a dog name. Now, I know there are people who don’t mind their child’s name being a common dog name, but I am not one of those people (probably because I’m not very fond of animals in general, but let’s not get into that).

It would appear I like (or least dislike) British girls’ names the most (albeit marginally), and I definitely dislike British boys’ names the most!

Olivia

Honestly I personally don’t see the appeal and I think because she is so popular she’s slightly overdone. I prefer Olive! Olive is gorgeous

Alfie

This name just doesn’t appeal its very popular for boys and has always been around but actually not used as commonly as it was 5 years ago and I don’t understand why everyone in Britain loves it. Alfie is not my cup of tea at all. Definitely prefer Alfred!
