[name]Will[/name] [name]Hattie[/name] have a huge jump in popularity in the next few years due to [name]Tori[/name] spelling using this name for her daughter? I have read on more than one website that it is one of the most influential celebrity baby names right now. We will still use it but just curious? ![]()
I think it could go either way. Isn’t this like her 4th child? Maybe look into popularity bumps of her other kids’ names in the following years. Of course, any individual name could have more or less mainstream appeal, but it might shed a little light.
I think [name]Hattie[/name]'s got a little niche following, but usually as a nickname for [name]Harriet[/name]. It doesn’t seem as ripe for popularity as all those names full of A’s and L’s. I think most non-Nameberry people would consider it very unusual. I’m pro-[name]Hattie[/name]!
If you’re worried about the popularity of [name]Hattie[/name], why not just name her [name]Harriet[/name]?
[name]Hattie[/name]'s cute and unexpectedly hit the top 1000 last year (waayy down at the end though, there were only 253 of them born compared to 20 000 Isabellas and Sophias), but I don’t think it’s going to be a super hit in [name]North[/name] [name]America[/name]. [name]Evie[/name], which seems like a decent comparison (though [name]Evie[/name] has that super stylish v) hit the top 1000 five years ago and is still only in the 600s. [name]Hattie[/name] is relatively rare, with its 253 2011 births, but [name]Harriet[/name] is much more rare- just 86 of them born in 2011. You never know with names, but I really, really doubt that [name]Harriet[/name] will be anywhere near the top 250 any time in the next five to ten years
