I have 4 different friends who recently had babies named [name]Alice[/name].

All of these are lovely! I don’t really think any of them are in danger of being too popular or trendy, but I voted for [name]Alice[/name] because, compared to the others, it’ll be the most popular and the most likely to be trendy. All of these are lovely, though, and I especially love [name]Iris[/name] and [name]Alice[/name]!

Good luck!

They are all lovely, I adore [name]Alice[/name] but unfortunately I think it’s getting very popular :frowning:

I would say [name]Alice[/name] would be very popular soon. I’d hate to call it trendy since it’s such an old, classic name. But it’s been rising very fast. It was around 400 on the SS list when I named my daughter this five years ago, and it’s around the mid-100s now.

I am guessing that the “[name]Rose[/name]” names may be growing very popular too. I don’t know if [name]Rosemary[/name], specifically, is, but there are so many [name]Rose[/name] variations - [name]Rosalie[/name], [name]Rosalind[/name], [name]Primrose[/name], etc. - that it might be one of those names that becomes deceptively popular.

I live in the South and have not heard of any new babies or even adults named [name]Alice[/name] but I’ve heard [name]Norah[/name]/[name]Nora[/name] quite a bit. I also feel like [name]Rose[/name] (not necessarily [name]Rosemary[/name]) as a middle name has been booming as of late. I’m sure demographic affects what is deemed as popular.

I have seen a whole lot of [name]Alice[/name] lately… so I voted for her, I think she is on the rise in a big way. However, since we decided on [name]Eleanor[/name] (just in the past two weeks), I have seen a lot of her as well… I think people who are drawn to the nick names, “[name]Ellie[/name]”, “[name]Ella[/name]” or “[name]Nora[/name]” are getting there through [name]Eleanor[/name]… I don’t blame them, but I hope she doesn’t get popular!

[name]Alice[/name] followed by [name]Eleanor[/name] will probably be the most popular of your choices. I don’t think you have anything to worry about with the other names on your list.

Thanks for Input! [name]Nora[/name] has been my favorite name since we started trying to get pregnant 4 years ago! It is in the top 100 in my state. I just so want it to not be as popular as I’m worried it is. [name]Alice[/name] is a new favorite. I love it so much.

[name]Do[/name] you think these are too popular to use? I am more worried about trendy than popular.

As popular as any of them can be, I can’t even imagine any of them being trendy. Not trendy as in the bad sense of the word. [name]Alice[/name] and [name]Eleanor[/name] are stunning and while they may get popular I can’t imagine them being linked to a “2012 name” like [name]Ashley[/name] and [name]Jessica[/name] are linked to the 80s. All of your choices are so refreshingly, wonderfully timeless. Are you in [name]America[/name] or somewhere else? I don’t really know a ton of statistics for other countries, so if you’re not in [name]America[/name] it might be a bit different of a story…

No. I don’t think any of them are too popular to use. I don’t find [name]Eleanor[/name] or [name]Alice[/name] “trendy” though I think they may come and go out of fashion both are strong, classic names.
