Ok…so we have our boy name down, but can’t seem to agree on a girl name. I brought up [name_f]Brynlee[/name_f], which I’m really loving…he likes just [name_f]Brynn[/name_f], because our daughter is [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f] and he thinks it sounds too similar. I said we can call her [name_u]Bryn[/name_u], but I like [name_f]Brynlee[/name_f]. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think it’s too much alike?
[name_f]Brynn[/name_f] works but Brynnlee doesn’t.
Go with [name_f]Brynn[/name_f]. Adding lee to it makes it too much alike and not better. [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] is pretty on its own
[name_u]Bryn[/name_u] on it’s own is nice. [name_f]Brynlee[/name_f] feels trendy, and in my state is like the #1 name so I hear it all the time and I find it an annoying sound. Next to [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f], [name_f]Brynlee[/name_f] is way too much. I’d go with [name_u]Bryn[/name_u] if I were you.
I’m feeling like [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] is boring…anyone have any other suggestions? Our son is [name_u]Mason[/name_u], and daughter is [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f].
Yeah…I just love the “lee” on the end, I also love “lyn” on the end, especially because my mom is [name_f]LYNda[/name_f] and his mom is BeLYN. I thought it would be nice to incorporate that…I like [name_f]Jaylyn[/name_f] and he turned that down right away. Anyone have any other suggestions. We have a son, [name_u]Mason[/name_u] and a daughter, [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f].
[name_f]Brynn[/name_f] is fine on its own. [name_f]Brynlee[/name_f] and [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f] are too similar. For a suggestion I would say [name_u]Addison[/name_u] or [name_f]Nova[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosie[/name_f]. For lyn you could do [name_f]Ashlyn[/name_f], [name_f]Adalyn[/name_f], [name_u]Brooklyn[/name_u] or [name_f]Emmalyn[/name_f].
For you, I’m thinking, maybe…
[name_f]Tamsin[/name_f]
[name_f]Adalie[/name_f] (add-uh-lee)
[name_f]Joslyn[/name_f] (you could call her [name_u]Josie[/name_u]?)
[name_f]Kaya[/name_f]
[name_f]Cambria[/name_f]
[name_f]Chloe[/name_f]
[name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] (the correct pronunciation, I believe, is Mad-uh-lyn, but I prefer the Mad-uh-line one myself)
[name_u]Sky[/name_u]
[name_u]Bliss[/name_u]
[name_f]Autumn[/name_f]
[name_f]Cadence[/name_f]
[name_u]Paisley[/name_u] (I’m not actually a fan of this, but I think the style of it fits in with the style of [name_u]Mason[/name_u] and [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f], so you might like it)
Any of those have the right ‘feel’?
[name_f]Tamar[/name_f]
[name_u]Ainsley[/name_u]
[name_f]Deryn[/name_f]
[name_f]Jetta[/name_f]
[name_f]Ashlyn[/name_f]/[name_f]Aisling[/name_f]
[name_f]Bronwen[/name_f]
I agree that you should go with just [name_u]Bryn[/name_u]/[name_f]Brynn[/name_f]. [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f] and [name_f]Brynlee[/name_f] together is way too matchy and [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] stands on her own very well.
I agree [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f] and [name_f]Brynlee[/name_f] are way too similar. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Bree[/name_f] or [name_u]Blair[/name_u]? If you want to include “lyn” how about [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f], [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], [name_u]Brooklyn[/name_u] or [name_f]Marilyn[/name_f]?
I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] [name_u]Paisley[/name_u]…you totally know my style, unfortanately one of his good friends just recently named his baby this I like [name_u]Presley[/name_u] too, but he doesn’t want anything with the “lee” sound at the end because of [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f]. Between both of us, our friends seem to choose a lot of the names suggested above. I also love [name_f]Emma[/name_f], [name_f]Ava[/name_f], [name_u]Avery[/name_u]…all shot down. He likes [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] the best, but I just don’t think it goes with our sib-set.
I second the suggestions of [name_f]Jocelyn[/name_f] & [name_f]Adalyn[/name_f], some others you might consider…

Everyone’s version of “too similar” is different, but for my personal taste- I would not use [name_f]Brynlee[/name_f] for [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f]'s sister. I have to agree with your husband that using [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] on its own would sound nicer. I also think the name [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] sounds much more established than [name_f]Brynlee[/name_f], which is more trendy and made up sounding. To each their own though. And if you do go with [name_f]Brynlee[/name_f], I don’t think you are committing any crimes (outside of these forums at least).
I had friends growing up, [name_u]Kiley[/name_u] and [name_f]Carlie[/name_f] (sisters, not twins). The names are similar, yes, but very different spellings helped differentiate the two. Same with sisters [name_f]Orianna[/name_f] and [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f]. Maybe [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f] would work better with [name_u]Brinley[/name_u]? I don’t know. I prefer [name_f]Jocelyn[/name_f], [name_f]Jaclyn[/name_f], [name_f]Jacquelyn[/name_f], [name_f]Adalyn[/name_f], [name_f]Bree[/name_f], [name_u]Blair[/name_u], and [name_u]Brooke[/name_u].
I’m a bit confused about Bryn for a girl because here (UK) it’s a boys name?
Definitely think Brynlee (any maybe other lee names) would be a bit to similar to Kaylee
I second suggestions of Evelyn
Sorry for any repeats, what about…
Caitlin
Carolyn
Jacquelyn
Marilyn
Gwendoline
Rosaline
[name_f]Brynn[/name_f] or perhaps Brilynn (I knew a girl by that name) sound better than [name_f]Brynlee[/name_f].
