Ok, so I’ve got a few main characters I’m considering renaming. Suggestions for first and surnames welcome. [name]Story[/name]'s set in present day UK, if that helps.
#1 is currently [name]Megan[/name] ‘[name]Meggie[/name]’ [name]Kendrick[/name].
[name]Early[/name] 20s, graduated uni with an English degree and now back living at home working in a supermarket because she can’t work anywhere else. Feels like she’s living in the shadow of her more successful older sister. [name]Loyal[/name] to her friends but wants to break free of her family and become more independent.
#2 is currently [name]Esme[/name] [name]Kendrick[/name].
[name]Meggie[/name]'s older sister by three years, successful city banker. Engaged and lives in a different part of the country to her family so very independent.
#3 is currently [name]Felicity[/name] ‘[name]Felix[/name]’ [name]Reed[/name].
[name]Early[/name] 20s, [name]Meggie[/name]'s best friend from school. Estranged from her parents but lives in a council flat with her boyfriend and their two young children (one baby, one toddler). Doesn’t work as she’s looking after the kids. Dyes her hair an assortment of colours and goes by a masculine nickname because she feels her real name is too girly (and I want any new name to have this same potential, and nothing too obvious eg [name]Alex[/name] for [name]Alexandra[/name].)
#4 is currently [name]Ben[/name].
No known surname though he will need one later on. Customer in the shop who develops an unhealthy obsession with [name]Meggie[/name]. Late 20s/early 30s most likely though this can be lowered slightly. Bit of an oddball.
I’d like something relatively common/known, nothing too obscure (with the possible exception of an overly frilly name for [name]Felix[/name] as long as it can be shortened). All are caucasian British if that helps with surnames.
