DH and I have a beautiful daughter named [name]Luisa[/name] [name]Natalia[/name]. DH is hispanic and I am a mixture - my mother is hispanic and my father is caucasian. My DD, nicknamed [name]Lulu[/name], was named after my mother, [name]Maria[/name] [name]Luisa[/name]. And DH loved the name [name]Natalie[/name]/[name]Natalia[/name]. Now interested in other hispanic/spanish names that will flow together and which are not overly used. Easy pronunciation for my father is also a plus. Other names that have sparked my interest are: [name]Emilia[/name], [name]Camila[/name], and [name]Sofia[/name] (too common and will probably not use).
Thank You
I like [name]Camila[/name] from your list. Are you okay with another girl name that ends in -a?
[name]How[/name] about [name]Paloma[/name], Noemí, Inés, [name]Bel[/name]én, [name]Dalia[/name], [name]Eliana[/name], or [name]Beatriz[/name], to name a few of my favorites? I love [name]Luisa[/name] - we considered it for our [name]Luc[/name]ía.
Oh this is fun. I know what my favorite Spanish boys’ names are, but I haven’t decided on the girls yet.
Oh dear, try to stay away from [name]Margarita[/name] and [name]Soledad[/name], even though they have a lovely sound.
[name]Alba[/name], [name]Clara[/name], [name]Silvia[/name]/[name]Sylvia[/name], I really like [name]Elena[/name], [name]Genesis[/name], [name]Amalia[/name], [name]Julia[/name], [name]Lucia[/name] (probably too similar to [name]Luisa[/name], but still beautiful). I have always loved [name]Marisol[/name] both for the sound and the meaning. It’s almost a poem in a name.
[name]Emilia[/name] is a GREAT name. It is a bit trendy right now because of the [name]Emily[/name]/[name]Emma[/name] boom, but it has it’s own twist. It’s gorgeous.
Oh [name]Luisa[/name] is great! It’s the only form of [name]Louise[/name] I like.
It’s tricky with Spanish names, because so many of them end in A. You made that work with [name]Luisa[/name] [name]Natalia[/name], but it’s hard to find nice flow with two names ending in A. [name]Beatriz[/name], [name]Luz[/name], and [name]Carmen[/name] are the only good ones I can think of that don’t end in A. [name]Lourdes[/name] too, but it can be heavy. You could of course change [name]Emilia[/name] to [name]Emile[/name], [name]Camila[/name] to [name]Camille[/name], and [name]Sofia[/name] to [name]Sophie[/name]. But then they’re suddenly all French, and [name]Emile[/name] is masculine…
Here are some I love. Sorry for any repeats.
I have to throw in a vote for Noemí-- my favorite name! My other favorites are not necessarily Spanish, but easily pronounced in Spanish and English.
[name]Beatriz[/name] (I prefer the [name]Beatrice[/name] spelling and that wouldn’t change the Spanish pronunciation)
[name]Annabel[/name] (it has the very popular -bel/belle ending, but it’s so pretty!)
[name]Susana[/name]
[name]Daniela[/name]
[name]Viviana[/name]
[name]Emilia[/name]
[name]Alina[/name]
[name]Milena[/name]
[name]Amelia[/name] (Prefer this to [name]Emilia[/name])
[name]Perla[/name]
[name]Blanca[/name]
[name]Elena[/name]
[name]Gabriella[/name]
[name]Ines[/name]
[name]Elisa[/name]
[name]Dina[/name]
I have the same issues with names, but my future last name has too many “a’s” so all the pretty ‘end in a’ names are out! I’m a little envious.
