Possibly back to the drawing board....need unusual adventurous names. PLEASE HELP!

Okay Berries,

I am 50/50 with [name]Orchid[/name] [name]Aurora[/name]. I have heard positive responses and the negative ones. I finally got my boyfriend to love a name but I am unsure now myself due to what Berries have been saying.

What are other adventurous girl combos!? I like different, unusual yet pretty. Last name sounds like Shamrock.

I am not taking [name]Orchid[/name] [name]Aurora[/name] off the list just yet but would [name]LOVE[/name] other options to present my boyfriend with.

Name combos do not have to deal with flowers or anything in particular. Just need to be different and flow!

PLEASE HELP!

Although [name]Orchid[/name] isn’t a name I would choose, I think it’s a really pretty and unusual choice! What about some other daring O names? [name]Octavia[/name], [name]Ophelia[/name], [name]Odessa[/name], [name]Olympia[/name], [name]Olive[/name], or [name]Odelia[/name]? Or a spunky nature name like [name]Juniper[/name], [name]Dahlia[/name], [name]Arbor[/name], [name]Briar[/name], [name]Azalea[/name], [name]Clover[/name], [name]Magnolia[/name], [name]Acacia[/name] or [name]Laurel[/name]?

Other names that came to mind…

[name]Margot[/name] [name]Adeline[/name]
[name]Aline[/name] [name]Seraphina[/name]
[name]Daphne[/name] [name]Lucille[/name]

I am presuming your surname isn’t actually a plant name? If it was (ie Shamrock) I would have to rule out [name]Orchid[/name] sorry.

(Sorry for any repeats)

I still think [name]Orchid[/name] [name]Aurora[/name] is stunning by the way! When I think of [name]Orchid[/name] I think of the beautiful flowers. I wouldn’t worry about any of that other stuff (I don’t think a lot of people in the “real world” would even think of any of that stuff). If that’s the name that you and your partner end up loving then you shouldn’t let anyone talk you out of it. There is always going to be people who don’t agree when making an adventurous name choice!

Orchids are beautiful flowers, but I don’t think [name]Orchid[/name] makes a nice name. It’s too harsh. What would a nn for [name]Orchid[/name] be? Orc? That’s an ugly mythological creature. ugh
My husband has a niece named [name]Ocean[/name] [name]Aurora[/name].
There are lots of other flower and nature names that are more obscure.
Suggestions:
[name]Lotus[/name] - nn Lo is cute
[name]Wisteria[/name]
[name]Zinnia[/name]
[name]Bluebell[/name]

[name]Nova[/name]
[name]Opal[/name]
[name]Opaline[/name]
[name]Olwen[/name]
Olenna
Fiametta - nn [name]Fia[/name]

[name]Ocean[/name] [name]Aurora[/name] is really pretty too!

If a nickname is really that big of an issue you could always use [name]Ora[/name]/[name]Aura[/name] ([name]Orchid[/name] + [name]Aurora[/name]), [name]Ro[/name], or [name]Rory[/name]. There’s an “or” sound in both names, and a “ror” sound in [name]Aurora[/name]. You could even use [name]Richi[/name]/[name]Richie[/name], [name]Dora[/name], [name]Chi[/name], or Cho (butterfly).

[name]Meadow[/name]
[name]Harmony[/name]
[name]Haven[/name]
[name]Autumn[/name]
[name]Aurora[/name]
[name]Elowen[/name]
[name]Ever[/name]
[name]Laken[/name]
[name]Lyric[/name]
[name]Paisley[/name]
[name]Prairie[/name]
[name]Maple[/name]
[name]Mabel[/name]

I am loving all of these suggestions, ones I have not even thought about it now coming up with combos. I am not concerned with nicknames, I really don’t like nicknames in general. I have always told myself I don’t want a name that people can shorten. So nicknames isnt much of a concern. I am more concerned with having an adventurous name and flows well.

I like [name]Tulip[/name], from your list but do not know what name to even pair it with.

Thank you! I am glad you think it is pretty. A lot of my friends I have asked have said it is pretty yet unusual.
From your list I also like
[name]Bluebell[/name]- but would not know what to pair it with.
[name]Blossom[/name]- middle name options?
I like [name]Lotus[/name] but since that last name starts with a SCH and makes a SHH sound it is a hard transition and does not flow well. So names ending in S or X are out of the question.

What a adventurous girl combos though!? I struggle with putting names together. Plus I am also worried my boyfriend will not like them. I am slightly more adventurous and out there unlike him. Thats why the fact he loved [name]Orchid[/name] [name]Aurora[/name], my jaw hit the floor. Names do not necessarily have to deal with flowers etc. I just like unusual name combos. Like to me the fact [name]Holly[/name] [name]Madison[/name] named her daughter [name]Rainbow[/name] is so stinkin’ cute.

Name combos would be greatly appreciated over just first names. Thank you for all the suggestions but I have not had that wow moment again.

[name]Tallulah[/name] is unique!

I’ll just throw some out there…sorry for repeats; I only skimmed pps.

Loving all the combos you put together! I appreciate it. I also appreciate the forums you posted along for me to look at. Picking a girls name is going to be the death of me. Our boy combos were so simple and easy. I just hope the boyfriend likes some of these. He is more hesitant to be as adventurous as I am not.
