So, we just found out expecting number 4 due in [name]October[/name]: so excited! Looking for some ideas on names. He/she will be joining [name]Richard[/name] [name]Henry[/name], [name]Anne[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] ([name]Annie[/name]) and [name]James[/name] [name]Edward[/name] and our lastname is [name]Potter[/name]. We have pretty much decided that a boy will be called [name]David[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] (just love that combination!). Girls are harder for us though. Looking for all and any suggestions! We had these 3 names as our possibilities is [name]James[/name] had been a girl: [name]Catherine[/name] [name]Alice[/name], [name]Mary[/name] [name]Helen[/name] and [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Lily[/name] to give you some idea of the sort of names we like. We are very open to all comments and suggestions (including both girls and boys names).
[name]David[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] is SO handsome and goes fabulously well with your other childrens’ names! I wouldn’t change a thing. For girls, I find [name]Mary[/name] [name]Helen[/name] especially striking. I also love [name]Catherine[/name] [name]Alice[/name]. I think I’d like [name]Eleanor[/name] better spelled [name]Elinor[/name] and maybe paired with a different middle? [name]Lily[/name] seems a bit trendy compared to your other classic, timeless choices. I also love [name]Helen[/name] as a first name option for you. What about:
I think that [name]Claire[/name] would be lovely. [name]Claire[/name] [name]Olivia[/name]
or
[name]Juliet[/name] [name]Claire[/name]
[name]Helena[/name] [name]Alice[/name]
[name]Georgina[/name] [name]Alice[/name]
[name]Louise[/name] [name]Catherine[/name]
[name]Catriona[/name] ([name]Katrina[/name]) [name]Alice[/name]
Yay - congratulations! I remember your well-named sibset - so I am excited to help again, as I am sure most Berries will be!
[name]David[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] is so handsome, and is perfect with [name]Richard[/name] [name]Henry[/name], [name]Anne[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] and [name]James[/name] [name]Edward[/name]. If your baby is a girl, I love, love, love [name]Catherine[/name] [name]Alice[/name], or even [name]Catherine[/name] [name]Lily[/name]!
[name]Love[/name] your kids’ names!! [name]David[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] is fabulous! I love [name]Catherine[/name] [name]Alice[/name] and [name]Mary[/name] [name]Helen[/name]. I also love [name]Mary[/name] [name]Catherine[/name] and [name]Mary[/name] [name]Alice[/name].
Good call on [name]David[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] - it’s perfect!
I think [name]Mary[/name] would work great with the rest of your children’s names - it’s a classic name that isn’t ridiculously trendy. Plus it’s super versatile, and goes along with any middle name. I’d go with [name]Mary[/name] [name]Alice[/name] (not a big fan of the name [name]Helen[/name]).
leonielee: Thanks I really like [name]Jillian[/name] and [name]Claire[/name]. As I’m technically [name]Lillian[/name], do you think [name]Jillian[/name] is too much? I’m not sure about [name]Lily[/name] in the middle anymore either. I really like [name]Helen[/name] as a potential first name.
firsttime: thanks for your opinions: I do like [name]Mary[/name] [name]Alice[/name] as a combination too but I still think [name]Mary[/name] [name]Helen[/name] has the edge on it!
rollo: Really like [name]Claire[/name] thanks
kyemsma: you have a good memory! thanks for the suggestions but none are quite right - perhaps a tad frilly?
boyandgirl, name_walrus: glad I’m not the only one who thinks [name]David[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] is pretty much perfect!
taylorblueskye: I take it you are assuming that I am not a genuine poster. I apologise for our well known commonly used surname and it’s use in a story… I’m sure if you’d care to browse my previous posts you’ll see the dilemma we had over [name]James[/name]’ name but decided that we weren’t going to pass over the perfect name for our son just because it was used on a character! Anyway, you carry on judging, I can’t stop you!
gigigibbons: Yes, JK Rowlings creation is the bane of our baby naming lives!! Thanks for the ideas but none are really jumping out at me.
I like your use of older fashioned names. i really like the name [name]Bonnie[/name] Clariece [name]Potter[/name] or [name]Helena[/name] ( hel-lain-uh) [name]Marie[/name] [name]Potter[/name].
Thankyou everyone, sorry it has taken me so long to respond.
kenzi: thanks for the suggestions not a fan of he-ley-na. like heh-len-a but do prefer simple [name]Helen[/name] over both!
ella17: oo I like [name]Laura[/name] thanks!
caitypete: I do quite like [name]Louise[/name]
kyemsma: [name]Emma[/name] makes me smile!
So list: [name]Mary[/name], [name]Helen[/name], [name]Catherine[/name], [name]Alice[/name], [name]Eleanor[/name], [name]Laura[/name], [name]Louise[/name], [name]Claire[/name]
I think that [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Catherine[/name] sounds pretty. But out of those you listen catherine [name]Alice[/name] sound the best to me. I like [name]Eleanor[/name] in the first name spot but pairing it with [name]Lily[/name] sounds a little “off” to me. I like [name]Helen[/name] , too and think that [name]Helen[/name] [name]Claire[/name] or [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Claire[/name] are both really beautiful names. I think that [name]David[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] is so charming and handsome sounding. I love all the names you have choosen so far so I’m sure that you will find something classic and beautiful !
I like all your classic names, and i’m a [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name] fan, so I think the names in your family are great (: ahah. Anyways, I definetely like [name]Catherine[/name], [name]Alice[/name], and [name]Claire[/name] and [name]David[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] is perfect. As for suggestions: (sorry about repeats)
