Top 10 for 2024:
- [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
- [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]
- [name_u]Harper[/name_u]
- [name_f]Ella[/name_f]
- [name_f]Savannah[/name_f]
- [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]
- [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
- [name_f]Aria[/name_f]
- [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u]
- [name_f]Sofia[/name_f]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is very popular in the UK. The UK always seems a step ahead of the US in baby names which is why I think it won’t be long before [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] makes her transition to number 1. Plus the boyish nickname [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] will help.
[name_f]Olivia[/name_f] is looking good for number 1 in the near future so I almost put her at the top. But ten years is a while in the baby name world which gives her enough time to give up the top position.
[name_u]Harper[/name_u] is a unisex name which is rising rapidly right now. With connections to celeb kids ([name_u]Harper[/name_u] [name_m]Beckham[/name_m]) and classic authors ([name_u]Harper[/name_u] [name_u]Lee[/name_u]) [name_u]Harper[/name_u] will be able to go far. I don’t think she has enough to reach number 1, however, due to the lack of nickname options and the masculine feel around her.
With [name_f]Ella[/name_f], everyone is saying that Frozen will give [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] a huge boost into the top 100. While this could happen, I think Frozen is more likely to give similar names like [name_f]Ella[/name_f] a big boost- enough to push her into the top 5.
[name_f]Savannah[/name_f] is just a hunch of mine but I see her more and more everyday it seems. And I can see why. She shares similar characteristics with the popular names, including the top ranked [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] and it also has a nature-y appeal.
After being used for many celeb kids, [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] will come back looking stronger than ever. She has a vintage appeal that is reviving many oldies and she has a sweet sound. She’s feminine, classic, and fun to say giving her what it takes to really rise.
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] has a similar sound to [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], [name_f]Ava[/name_f], [name_u]Avery[/name_u], and several other common names as well as the trending -lyn ending. Plus, with cute nickname options such as [name_f]Evie[/name_f], it won’t take much for this former “old lady” name to make a comeback. She also adds icing to the cake by being “grandma’s name” for many families!
[name_f]Aria[/name_f] was destined for greatness when [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] reached the top 10. She’s spunky, smart, feminine, and also is a very likable character for many TV shows, including Pretty [name_m]Little[/name_m] Liars and Game of Thrones. Her sound is similar to that of [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], [name_f]Mia[/name_f], [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], and [name_f]Ava[/name_f] making it very easy for her slip up into the top ten.
[name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] has it all. She’s boyish, she’s frilly, and the nickname option [name_f]Bree[/name_f], only helps. [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] has a similar story to that of [name_u]Harper[/name_u] but the lack of usage in the media won’t get her as far.
Last but not least, [name_f]Sofia[/name_f]. [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] is the Spanish spelling of the top ranked [name_f]Sophia[/name_f], and is climbing at her heels. [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] is slimmer and spunkier than [name_f]Sophia[/name_f], making her a ninja of sorts, creeping into the top ten.
Honorable mentions: [name_f]Willow[/name_f], [name_u]Brooklyn[/name_u], [name_u]Avery[/name_u], [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], and [name_f]Violet[/name_f]
