[name]Hi[/name] all! Husband and I both really love [name]Josephine[/name]. Currently, it’s #182 in the US and trending upward.
Popularity is a deal breaker for me, and the upward trend scares me a little. I need your expert opinions! What do you foresee happening to [name]Josephine[/name]?
I think [name]Josephine[/name] will continue to climb, but I don’t think it’s ever going to be wildly popular. I doubt it would get into the top 100.
I agree with this. With all the other huge trends (unisex names, trendy, made up names, etc.) I just don’t see [name]Josephine[/name] having the mass appeal that [name]Isabella[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Avery[/name], [name]Nevaeh[/name], [name]Lily[/name], etc. have right now. I think it might level out at around 150-ish.
[name]Josephine[/name] is my fav so I worry about popularity as well, however, I always see mixed reviews not necessarily bad ones but there are enough people who aren’t head over heels in love with it to keep it out of the top 100 (I hope!) or at least the top 50.

I had no idea [name]Josephine[/name] was so high, but I wouldn’t worry too much about it. [name]Josephine[/name] is pretty, but there’s not a lot of people who see it’s appeal. I think the highest it will get is maaaaybe the 150’s. [name]Even[/name] then it’s not too bad.
I think it’ll probably get more popular but I don’t ever see it being [name]Isabella[/name] popular.
I concur…and I love, but [name]LOVE[/name], [name]Josephine[/name]. Would have used for one of our girls in a flash but husband just could not get next to it, he found it masculine and unlovely.
He’s wrong, in my book, but I think that might be the take on [name]Josephine[/name] enough to keep it from mass popularity.
I love [name]Josephine[/name], but I honestly don’t think it will ever get that popular or that much higher on the charts. Like PPs pointed out, it just doesn’t have the mass appeal that the chart toppers do.
