I think the girls’ names, for the most part, will stay the same. (Although I’m secretly hoping that [name]Olivia[/name] and [name]Isabella[/name] go down, and [name]Ava[/name] and [name]Sophia[/name] go up! I don’t mind people feeling they’re overexposed, but I want my beloved [name]Isabelle[/name] and [name]Olivia[/name] to feel more fresh! Not going to happen, I know, but number five is still better than number 4, imo!). [name]Ella[/name] might be on the rise… although I doubt it’ll crack into the top 10. [name]Isabella[/name], [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Ava[/name], [name]Olivia[/name], [name]Abigail[/name], [name]Chloe[/name], [name]Elizabeth[/name], [name]Mia[/name], [name]Madison[/name], and [name]Emma[/name] are my guesses. That’s pretty much been consistent for a while, though. I wonder if [name]Jacob[/name] will finally be dethroned? I don’t hear anyone talking about [name]Jacob[/name] anymore and it must be getting tired–it’s been number one for at least 10 years! Maybe [name]Ethan[/name] or [name]Michael[/name] or [name]Jayden[/name] or [name]Aiden[/name] will take over… Hopefully [name]Noah[/name], [name]Daniel[/name], and [name]Joshua[/name] will go down a bit, too.
I predict Hunger Games will be in. Yeah, [name]Alice[/name], [name]Esme[/name], [name]Jasper[/name], [name]Emmett[/name], [name]Jacob[/name], [name]Isabella[/name], [name]Edward[/name], etc., all great names but I think they’ll stand on their own merit rather than the whole Twilight craze, now that the HG movie is coming out and [name]Katniss[/name], [name]Primrose[/name], and [name]Rue[/name] (not to mention all the others) are getting more attention. Most of them are fairly off the map so I doubt they’ll move a ton, but in the coming years I expect them to become more used.
I think [name]Eloise[/name], [name]Vivienne[/name], and [name]Isla[/name] will continue to soar up the charts.
Hopefully, [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Charlotte[/name] won’t move too much! I like them just where they are. [name]Even[/name] a little bit less popular would be nice. Again, not very likely, urgh.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed that [name]Isabelle[/name] will continue her nice, easy, slow, (although maybe a bit faster wouldn’t be so bad) descent from the top 100… she went from 100 in 2009 to 105 in 2010–I’m hoping for around 115 in 2011! Knowing my luck, she’ll be getting popular again.
