[name]Hi[/name]. I am searching for a preppy name for our daughter that is “all girl.” I would like a name that is NOT in the top 100, NOT not grandma chic (I don’t get the appeal), but very classy and she can grow with it in time. We like longer names, but we will consider any name that is 2+ syllables since we have a 1 syllable surname. Any Ideas?
An example of a name I am considering:
[name]Arabella[/name]
But I am not in love with it, and my husband really doesn’t care for it.
Is there anything else out there that makes you think “Adorable, [name]Lovely[/name], & Preppy” that is not overdone? We are stumped at this point. I am ready to give up and just name her the overdone [name]Sophia[/name].
Other ideas:
[name]Mirabel[/name] (which I think looks a bit cleaner-lined than [name]Mirabella[/name], but that’s a valid option too…)
[name]Leora[/name]/[name]Liora[/name]
[name]Livia[/name]
[name]Tallulah[/name]
[name]Quintana[/name]
[name]Laurel[/name]
[name]Isadora[/name]
[name]Jessamy[/name]
Betony
[name]Viviana[/name]
So far the names we like the most are [name]Fiona[/name] & [name]Penelope[/name]… but both we don’t love. [name]Fiona[/name] is ruined by the movie Shrek and [name]Penelope[/name] reminds me of a pig. This cutesy style seems to be our type however…
Someone already suggested [name]Francesca[/name], and I’ll second that. Would also recommend [name]Juliet[/name], [name]Jessamine[/name], [name]Cecelia[/name], [name]Cecily[/name], [name]Aurora[/name], [name]Natasha[/name], [name]Rosalind[/name], [name]Lilyana[/name], [name]Desdemona[/name]. Sorry for repeats.
[name]Arabella[/name] and [name]Seraphina[/name] sound more princessy than preppy to me. Other names that I would put in the princessy sounding category are…
