Presley for a girl

My husband is set on the name [name_u]Presley[/name_u]. I would like to incorporate my moms middle name, [name_f]Mae[/name_f]. However, our last name starts with S, so I dont want initials to be PMS. We tried to think of double middle names or using [name_f]Mae[/name_f] in the first name… Help!!

[name_u]Presley[/name_u] [name_f]Emma[/name_f]-[name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_u]Presley[/name_u] [name_f]Ella[/name_f]-[name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_u]Presley[/name_u] [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]-[name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_u]Presley[/name_u] [name_f]Carolyn[/name_f]-[name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_u]Presley[/name_u] Caramae
[name_u]Presley[/name_u]-[name_f]Mae[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] ([name_f]Louise[/name_f] was my Grandmas middle name)

up for ANY suggestions!!

I don’t like hyphenated names. My favorites are…

[name_u]Presley[/name_u] [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_u]Presley[/name_u] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f]

[name_u]Presley[/name_u]-[name_f]Mae[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] is my favorite!

[name_u]Presley[/name_u] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]-[name_f]Louise[/name_f] is gorgeous!

I like [name_u]Presley[/name_u] [name_f]Ella[/name_f]-[name_f]Mae[/name_f].

I would suggest [name_f]Esme[/name_f]/[name_f]Esmae[/name_f] but it’s a little rhymey with [name_u]Presley[/name_u].

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you like [name_f]Cari[/name_f]? [name_f]Cari[/name_f]-[name_f]Mae[/name_f] could be cute. Have you considered [name_f]Louisa[/name_f], or just [name_u]Lou[/name_u]? I do like [name_f]Louise[/name_f], but [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]-[name_f]Mae[/name_f] might sound nice. Luma or [name_f]Lumina[/name_f] make an untraditional combination of the two.

I quite like [name_u]Presley[/name_u] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] as a double-barrel first name, however, I’m not such a big fan of hyphens. That said, without the hyphenation, would that cause a lot of issues when she gets older with documentation and what not? Probably… I think [name_u]Presley[/name_u]-[name_f]Mae[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] is lovely, incorporating an honor name.

I think [name_u]Presley[/name_u] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] (both [name_f]Mae[/name_f] and [name_f]Louise[/name_f] as the middle names) solves both the hyphenation and the initial issues, so I’d suggest that. You could always call her [name_u]Presley[/name_u]-[name_f]Mae[/name_f] off paper too – your own little ‘nickname’ for her, so to speak.

What about [name_f]Mae[/name_f] [name_u]Presley[/name_u]? I think that solves the problem by using both names and is much more charming in my opinion.

Something to consider: If you continue with [name_u]Presley[/name_u] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] ____ , there are many circumstances in which they will only ask for a middle initial (not allowing two) and her initials will then still be PMS. My husband has two middle names and this happens to him all the time.

[name_u]Presley[/name_u]-[name_f]Mae[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f]!!! What a sweet, spunky southern name I love it and I love that it honors your mother and grandmother. I dont think there is anything wrong with a double barrel first name, although if you would rather keep the double barrel in the middle my vote is [name_u]Presley[/name_u] [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f].

I think [name_u]Presley[/name_u] [name_f]Carolyn[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is the best.
[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_u]Presley[/name_u] [name_f]Mae[/name_f], and call her [name_u]Presley[/name_u]?

[name_u]Presley[/name_u]-[name_f]Mae[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] is darling!

[name_u]Presley[/name_u] [name_f]Emma[/name_f]-[name_f]Mae[/name_f] is also a nice choice, though my favorite by far is [name_u]Presley[/name_u]-[name_f]Mae[/name_f].

As far as double barreled names go I prefer them hyphenated in most cases, and to answer a previous poster’s question, no hyphens do not really cause problems with documentation.

I second [name_u]Presley[/name_u] [name_f]Esme[/name_f] - was going to suggest that.

I also like [name_u]Presley[/name_u]-[name_f]Mae[/name_f]. Then you can just drop the [name_f]Mae[/name_f] for everyday use and add a completely different middle.
