I have my girl’s list narrowed down for if we have a girl. I love classic, feminine, traditional names with a little touch of vintage for girls. Which girl’s name do you like the best? I would love to know what you think of each name as well. ALSO, please give me middle name ideas!
My other daughters names are [name]Claire[/name] and [name]Ella[/name], so if you have any other names that you think would fit my style, please let me know!
[name]Amelia[/name]- I don’t love [name]Amelia[/name]. The sound just doesn’t appeal to me very much.
[name]Ivy[/name]- I love [name]Ivy[/name]! Such a gorgeous name!
[name]Nora[/name]- This has been growing on me lately, but I don’t love it as much as [name]Ivy[/name].
I think [name]Rose[/name], [name]Violet[/name], [name]Ruth[/name], [name]Vera[/name] and [name]Ruby[/name] would also be lovely on your list.
I like [name]Claire[/name], [name]Ella[/name], & [name]Ivy[/name] the most! [name]Claire[/name], [name]Ella[/name], & [name]Amelia[/name] would be my second choice.
[name]Amelia[/name] - I personally don’t care for this too much. I don’t really know why… it’s just a feeling. It’s cute though!
[name]Ivy[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name]! The popularity turns me off a little, and would keep me from ever using it… but still, [name]LOVE[/name]!
[name]Nora[/name] - I’ve never liked the name [name]Nora[/name]. It’s just one of those names I don’t like. The right person could turn me on to it though.
I love all of your name choices, [name]Claire[/name] and [name]Ella[/name] are nice as well!
[name]Amelia[/name]- I like [name]Amelia[/name] the most of your choices and think it fits in with [name]Claire[/name] and [name]Ella[/name] perfectly. My name is [name]Emily[/name] but I wish it was [name]Amelia[/name]. [name]Amelia[/name] has a vintage touch but is still perfect for a little girl. I think [name]Amelia[/name] [name]Earhart[/name], nice namesake.
[name]Ivy[/name]- This is on my list as well but in the middle name spot, what keeps me from putting it in the middle name spot is that it’s not only short but choppy as well. It’s nice but I’m not sure it flows with [name]Claire[/name] and [name]Ella[/name].
[name]Nora[/name]- This is my moms name. [name]Nora[/name] definitely has that vintage vibe and is great name but I prefer [name]Amelia[/name].
I also second namelover77’s suggestions of [name]Amelia[/name] [name]Pearl[/name], [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Wilhelmina[/name], and [name]Nora[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name], perfect!
To go with [name]Claire[/name] and [name]Ella[/name]…
[name]Amelia[/name] – [name]Don[/name]'t love the name. And it’s a little…cutesy? It doesn’t match the clean, elegance of [name]Claire[/name] and [name]Ella[/name].
[name]Ivy[/name] – I like it. It’s not totally out of place next to [name]Claire[/name] and [name]Ella[/name], though the sound is rather more harsh.
[name]Nora[/name] – Your best option, I think. It’s a soft, simple, elegant name. It fits perfectly with the names of your other two daughters. And it’s lovely!
Middle names: I’m terrible at middle naming. I think [name]Nora[/name] sounds nice with two-syllable names with emphasis on the second syllable. [name]Nora[/name] [name]Louise[/name], [name]Nora[/name] [name]Monroe[/name], [name]Nora[/name] [name]Renee[/name], [name]Nora[/name] [name]Elaine[/name], [name]Nora[/name] [name]Simone[/name], etc.
My favorite combo is [name]Claire[/name], [name]Ella[/name], and [name]Ivy[/name]. All have different endings which I think is nice. Middle name recommendations, hmmppph, I could recommend any number of names. What are your other girls’ middle names?
I love the idea of [name]Claire[/name], [name]Ella[/name], and [name]Ivy[/name]! They’re very sweet together. My first idea for a combo was [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Josephine[/name].
You guys are amazing! I love all the input! I’m still having a hard time deciding which one I love the most. It really changes from day to day. I love the middle name suggestion of [name]Josephine[/name], and actually, that happens to be the name of a great great grandmother on my husband’s side!
I like [name]Amelia[/name] from your list. I’m not too fond of [name]Ivy[/name] or [name]Nora[/name], as they don’t sound pretty to me. I like [name]Amelia[/name] [name]Rose[/name] together very much.
My vote goes to [name]Nora[/name] but I prefer the [name]Norah[/name] spelling. The h gives it an old fashioned charm to me. There is a [name]Nora/name character on the show [name]True[/name] Blood which made me like the name even more. I see it as an alternative to [name]Sarah[/name].
[name]Amelia[/name], [name]Nora[/name] and [name]Ella[/name] all end in the letter ‘a’. Using [name]Ivy[/name] gives every child a different name ending and sounds beautiful! [name]Ivy[/name] is just so short and sweet. Some combos I like are:
