Pretty-sounding Names

Would you think these names sound pretty and feminine?

Cleome (clee-oh-mee) nn [name]Cleo[/name]

[name]Imogen[/name]

[name]Cassandra[/name] nn [name]Cassie[/name]

[name]Abigail[/name] nn [name]Abbey[/name]

[name]Penelope[/name] nn [name]Penny[/name]

Meredy

I like [name]Cleo[/name] as a standalone name and [name]Cassandra[/name]/[name]Cassie[/name] is great- classic but not over used.

The ones that I think sound feminine and pretty are [name]Abigail[/name], [name]Cassandra[/name], [name]Meredy[/name] and [name]Cleo[/name] as a name on it’s own.

I think [name]Cassandra[/name] and [name]Abigail[/name] sound very feminine. However, I am really tired of hearing [name]Abigail[/name]. There are tons in the 2nd-5th grade range. I love [name]Cassie[/name] more than [name]Cassandra[/name].

Very feminine apart from [name]Meredy[/name] - I literally just typed ‘Remedy’ and then had to re-type, which brings me onto why I don’t really care for it: it looks like a misspelling of Remedy. It sounds pretty, but how about [name]Merida[/name] instead? I think [name]Merida[/name] sounds prettier and more feminine, and [name]Meredy[/name] could be the nickname. Good luck!

Yes, I like them all! [name]Favorite[/name] is [name]Abbey[/name].

[name]Cassie[/name], [name]Abigail[/name], [name]Penelope[/name] “[name]Penny[/name]” all sound pretty to me.

[name]Abigail[/name] is very pretty and my favorite from the list.

I also like [name]Penelope[/name] a lot. Also with nn’s [name]Nelly[/name] and [name]Poppy[/name]!

I love [name]Abigail[/name], [name]Penelope[/name] and [name]Cassandra[/name]. All beautiful names.

[name]Penelope[/name] and [name]Cassandra[/name] sound pretty and feminine to me. Particularly [name]Cassandra[/name], but I much prefer [name]Penelope[/name] to it. I personally prefer the nns [name]Poppy[/name] and [name]Lola[/name], which seem more spunky-feminine to me, to [name]Penny[/name], but [name]Penny[/name]'s nice, too.

Good luck!

[name]Abigail[/name] nn [name]Abbey[/name]! The prettiest and most feminine.

Cleome, [name]Penelope[/name] and [name]Meredy[/name] are the prettiest of your list, in my opinion. They just seem light-hearted and have a fluttery sound to them. [name]Imogen[/name] doesn’t quite have the feminine, princess-y vibe that the others do but I still think it’s gorgeous.

I don’t like [name]Cassandra[/name] or [name]Abigail[/name]. They both just sound dated to me, and not overly nice sounding.

From your list the ones that sound pretty and feminine are [name]Cassandra[/name], [name]Abigail[/name], & [name]Penelope[/name].

Some other names that I find extremely feminine and pretty are

[name]Celine[/name]
[name]Gabriella[/name]
[name]Daphne[/name]
[name]Francine[/name]
[name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Pheobe[/name]
[name]Lorelei[/name]
[name]Rosalie[/name]
[name]Philomena[/name]

From your list, only [name]Cassandra[/name] and [name]Penelope[/name] sound particularly feminine to me.

Cleome (clee-oh-mee) nn [name]Cleo[/name] - I’ve never heard of Cleome as a name before. It doesn’t strike me as pretty, but [name]Cleo[/name] is cute.

[name]Imogen[/name] - I don’t think it’s pretty at all.

[name]Cassandra[/name] nn [name]Cassie[/name] - I think [name]Cassandra[/name] is pretty and feminine.

[name]Abigail[/name] nn [name]Abbey[/name] - A stunning name!

[name]Penelope[/name] nn [name]Penny[/name] - Very feminine, and [name]Penny[/name] is cute!

[name]Meredy[/name] - I’d think you meant to say [name]Meredith[/name], which is very pretty.

Cleome (clee-oh-mee) nn [name]Cleo[/name] - I like it. A bit whimsical but not unusable.

[name]Imogen[/name] - I love it. Not very “pretty” though. Its a solid name but rather somber and [name]Rosamund[/name]-like. A “heavy” name.

[name]Cassandra[/name] nn [name]Cassie[/name] - I have never liked [name]Cassandra[/name] but I love [name]Cassia[/name].

[name]Abigail[/name] nn [name]Abbey[/name] - I don’t find [name]Abigail[/name] particularly soft/pretty sound but its likable. [name]Abby[/name] is just overused and tired. Very popular which makes it somewhat [name]Isabella[/name]/[name]Sophia[/name]-ish - there’s nothing WRONG with [name]Abigail[/name] but its not terribly interesting either.

[name]Penelope[/name] nn [name]Penny[/name] - Pretty, and [name]Penny[/name] is cute.
