Pretty Wicked Moms

There is a TV show on Lifetime called Pretty Wicked Moms. It’s somewhat like a Real Housewives kind of show in [name]Atlanta[/name], [name]Georgia[/name]. Their kids have some interesting names. I’m breaking this up by family.

Amzie- Girl, apparently this was the name of her great grandfather.

Ledger- Boy

[name]McKinley[/name]-Girl
[name]Addison[/name]- Girl, named after [name]Addison[/name] [name]Montgomery[/name] on [name]Grey[/name]'s Anatomy and Private Practice.

[name]Dylan[/name]-Boy
[name]Andrew[/name]-Boy
[name]Jordan[/name]-Girl

[name]Sommer[/name]-A shih-tzu

What do you think? I don’t dislike [name]Dylan[/name], [name]Andrew[/name] and [name]Jordan[/name]. I’m a big big fan of the dog’s name though…

The only ones I have comments for are Ledger and [name]McKinley[/name].

Ledger as in [name]Heath[/name] Ledger? Likely, considering [name]Addison[/name]'s namesake.

[name]McKinley[/name] is a pet peeve of mine. [name]McKinley[/name] was a president, and all of my history classes have said the same thing: he was average, didn’t do much, and had a mountain wrongly named after him ([name]Denali[/name]). So I really just don’t get it, especially since I don’t think ‘Mc’ names are cute.

I love this show, and I hate that I love it. DH watches it too. I love Amzie and Ledger for names, but I wouldn’t use them. The rest of the names are very blah.

That’s funny, because Amzie and Ledger were the ones that made me pause. When I hear Ledger I just think of an inventory. I think my favorite really is the dog’s name [name]Sommer[/name].

I have never seen this show, but honestly the only names that I like are [name]Dylan[/name], [name]Andrew[/name], [name]Jordan[/name], and the dog’s name.

Amzie (only if it’s after a relative and/or meaningful) and Ledger are great:)

I’ve only seen snippets of the show and caught the name Ledger and I loved it! I have actually considered using it!

[name]McKinley[/name] is a girl on the show:)

Amzie doesn’t do much for me but I love [name]Amy[/name] and [name]Amity[/name].

I like [name]Jordan[/name] very much, but I ought to, I have a feminized version for my own name. My spelling is problematic - [name]Jordan[/name] or [name]Jordana[/name] would have been better.

I like [name]Dylan[/name] though its a bit dated.

I detest [name]McKinley[/name], [name]Addison[/name], and [name]Andrew[/name].

I love Amzie, especially because it came with a family history, and its just got a lot of moxie to it. [name]Sommer[/name] is great, too. Ledger is a bit too suburban for me, same for [name]McKinley[/name]. The show is pointless and mostly terribly, but somehow I still find it fun, in a brain-dead kind of way.

Thank you for pointing that out. My fingers were a couple steps ahead of my brain I guess!

I think the only redeeming quality for Amzie is that it does have that family history.

I turned on the show thinking it was some morbid Investigative [name]Discovery[/name] type of show. After it was on I couldn’t turn it off.

I went to high school with 2 of the husbands of the Pretty Wicked Moms. Surprised, yet not really surprised, on who theses guys married. They were both very nice guys in HS, one of them probably too nice, and now he’s being run over by his wife. Feeling kinda bad for them.

Amzie - Eh, not my cup of tea at all, but it’s right on trend I suppose
Ledger - I’m torn on this. I like the masculine sound to it, but can’t really get behind all the associations it brings with it
[name]McKinley[/name] - I actually liked this name before I saw it used on a real human being, go figure
[name]Addison[/name] - Nothing bad, nothing special
[name]Dylan[/name], [name]Andrew[/name] and [name]Jordan[/name] - Nothing wrong at all; all great names. Wish little sister had gotten a feminine name though. With the popularity of gender bending names I wouldn’t be able to guess if [name]Dylan[/name] or [name]Jordan[/name] was the girl.
[name]Sommer[/name] - And yes, the dog got the best name of all of them!

And not that it matters much, but [name]McKinley[/name] and [name]Addison[/name] are parts of different families (you have them grouped together as one). Great post; I definitely love to hate this show

Hmm, Amzie… I wonder if it was originally a nickname for Amaziah?
