Prononciation Question

[name_m]How[/name_m] would you pronounce [name_f]Mariella[/name_f]?

[name_f]Mary[/name_f] - [name_f]Ella[/name_f] : first sound being like “mare”

or

Marr - ee - ella: first sound being “mar”

I pronounced it like [name_f]Mary[/name_f]-ella, but i’m not sure if that is correct.

I think I would say [name_f]Mary[/name_f] and then second-guess myself.

I read it as [name_f]Mary[/name_f]-[name_f]Ella[/name_f].

I say Marr-ee-ella

Marr-ee-ella.

For me it’s somewhere in between the two. I pronounce [name_f]Mary[/name_f] and marry differently and would be inclined to pronounce [name_f]Mariella[/name_f] like marry-ella rather than [name_f]Mary[/name_f]-ella, if that makes any sense.

I would pronounce [name_f]Mariella[/name_f] like [name_f]Mary[/name_f] and [name_f]Ella[/name_f], [name_f]Mary[/name_f]-[name_f]Ella[/name_f], with the emphasis on the “el”–> mer-ee-[name_f]EL[/name_f]-ah.

I’d probably say Ma-ree-[name_f]ELLE[/name_f]-uh, but I wouldn’t be surprised by [name_f]Mary[/name_f]-ella.

I’d go for [name_f]Marry[/name_f]-ella/Ma-ree-elle-ah, I pronounce [name_f]Mary[/name_f] and [name_f]Mari[/name_f] differently and would be a little surprised by [name_f]Mary[/name_f]-ella.

Where I live it’s pronounced mah-ree-EH-lah

Mah ree [name_f]ELL[/name_f] ah

Like in this homonymous song, “mah-ree-[name_f]ELLE[/name_f]-ah”

I would say [name_f]Mary[/name_f]-ella or muh ree ella

This is how I would pronounce it too.
