[name]Carys[/name]: KAHR-ees; I love this one! I think it’s totally wearable for a little girl in the U.S. today
[name]Eira[/name]: like eye with a “ra” on the end (I-ra); This one reminds me of [name]Ira[/name] with an “e” on the front; sounds masculine to me so I wouldn’t go for it
[name]Elain[/name]: [name]Elaine[/name] without the e; I don’t like [name]Elaine[/name] and leaving off the ending “e” doesn’t change it for me
[name]Enid[/name]: EE-nid; sounds like an old lady to me, and I’m a fan of the “spunky old lady” style, but this one just doesn’t quite do it for me - it still sounds like it’s out of style
[name]Seren[/name]: seh-ren; I like this one too! Sounds very fresh and pretty to me!
So, I would only use [name]Carys[/name] ([name]LOVE[/name]) or [name]Seren[/name] as a first name, but I think both are totally cute and totally wearable, and they would be great crossovers to the U.S. Also, though I don’t like [name]Elain[/name] as a first, I think [name]Carys[/name] [name]Elain[/name] or [name]Seren[/name] [name]Elain[/name] are both darling!
[name]Carys[/name] is nice enough , I am Welsh and it tends to be pronounced more like kahr-iss here.
[name]Seren[/name] : seh-ren , star in Welsh is also useable and quite popular.
[name]Eira[/name] : snow in Welsh I pronounce like Ay-ra …sounds a bit more feminine and not confused with the male [name]Ira[/name].
[name]Enid[/name] and [name]Elain[/name] are ok if you really like them but are a bit dated here.
