I knew a girl named [name_f]Tala[/name_f] a long time ago! She pronounced it TALL-uh. I think it’s simple and sweet, but has a splash of spunk.
I would pronounce it [name_m]Tah[/name_m]-lah. I don’t have much of an impression of the name; it seems nice but forgettable for such an unusual name. For names with similar sounds, I prefer others.
Welcome to Nameberry! I’ve known a [name_f]Tala[/name_f] who pronounced it somewhere between [name_m]Tah[/name_m]-luh and Tall-uh–basically just a little more open than Tall-uh, if that makes sense.
I would pronounce it [name_m]Tah[/name_m]-lah. I prefer [name_f]Thalia[/name_f] or [name_f]Talia[/name_f]
Just by looking at it I would pronounce it like the word tally. With an “a” like in apple.
Tah-lla definately!
I love [name_f]Tala[/name_f]! Reminds me of a character I like. I love the meaning too. I’d pronounce it tah-lah like [name_f]Talia[/name_f] without the I. I’ve also heard it pronounced with the a sound in apple!
I say tall-uh. Very cute name!
How about [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f]?
Tar-luh
Tah-lah for me. Sounds pretty!
[name_m]Tah[/name_m]-lah
I would say [name_u]Tal[/name_u]-uh, as in [name_u]Tal[/name_u] that rhymes with [name_m]Hal[/name_m].
