[name]Cass[/name]-ia
my first response is always [name]Cass[/name]-ia though I know the proper prn. is [name]Cash[/name]-a
The correct pronunciation is [name]CASH[/name]-uh but guaranteed people will always pronounce it [name]Cass[/name]-ee-ah.
I honestly didn’t think there was a “correct” pronunciation. I thought both [name]CASS[/name]-ee-ah and [name]CASH[/name]-ah were accepted. I prefer the first pronunciation, though both are nice.

I’m not really sure which pronunciation is the correct one, but I pronounce it [name]CASS[/name]-ee-a, which I think is the more attractive and intuitive pronunciation. You’ll probably get more cass-ee-a than cash-a because most people won’t be familiar with the name and pronounce it like it looks.
[name]Lovely[/name] name, btw!
I like it as [name]CA[/name]-see-uh, not [name]CASH[/name]-uh. [name]CASH[/name]-uh just doesn’t sound as classy and to be honest it sounds like [name]Kesha[/name], whom I don’t like at all. I’ve heard it pronounced cuh-SYE-uh too, like [name]Josiah[/name] with a [name]CA[/name]. I’m not sure I love that pronunciation, so I would just go with [name]CA[/name]-see-uh to make it easier. That’s how most people will say it anyway.
According to my dictionary [name]Cassia[/name] is pronounced [name]Cash[/name]-uh. [name]Do[/name] you not like [name]Cassandra[/name]?
I pn it [name]Cass[/name]- ee-ah.
Urgh. Well, I worked with a nasty [name]Cassandra[/name] once. Isn’t it funny how one person can really hold a name hostage?! The husband loves [name]Cassandra[/name] (the name, not the person in question).
I say [name]Cash[/name] uh.
I think that if you use the name and introduce your daughter as either [name]CASS[/name]-ee-uh or [name]CASH[/name]-uh, people will catch on and use your pronunciation, regardless of what it is. It will take a few introductions, but I think it would all work out. Great, great name!

My name is [name]Kassia[/name], and it’s pronounced Kuh-see-uh (emphasis on the SEE).
