I’m clueless about how to pronounce [name]Christiana[/name] but I’m pretty sure I like it. [name]How[/name] do you pronounce it/what do you think of it?
At first glance, I’d go with [name]Crist[/name]-chi-ah-na. I like it! But I like most feminized versions of classic male names, assuming that [name]Christiana[/name] is a version of [name]Christian[/name]. [name]Thomasina[/name] and [name]Georgina[/name] are cute too.
I too would go with [name]Chris[/name]-chi-ahn-ah, though I would understand if I was corrected to [name]Chris[/name]-tee-ahn-ah. It’s a little flowery for my taste, but I think it’s pretty.
I’d assume [name]Chris[/name]-tee-ahn-ah. I’ve seen this name used on a tv show before and that’s how the pronounced it.
This is what my grandad called me. Pronounced kris-tee-[name]AH[/name]-nuh.
Like [name]Christian[/name] + [name]Christina[/name]. [name]Christia[/name]-[name]NUH[/name].
It’s [name]Kris[/name]-Tee-[name]Ah[/name]-Nah. I’m not a big fan of it though.
[name]Just[/name] like it looks, kris-tee-ah-na.
That’s my cousin’s name, and our family pronounces it [name]Kris[/name]-TYAH-nah. Perhaps it should be [name]Kris[/name]-tee-ah-nah, but when you’re saying it alot, especially with a Southern accent, it turns into 3 syllables. (Clarification: She has a slight southern accent; being from [name]Canada[/name], I do not, but I pronounce her name the way she does.)
The [name]German[/name] form ([name]Christiane[/name]) is similarly pronounced, kind of [name]Christ[/name]-yah-nuh.
