I’ve always pronounced [name]Rosalind[/name] as raw-zuh-lind. But I keep seeing comments mentioning that the ‘ro’ part is similar to [name]Rowan[/name] and [name]Rose[/name]. So which is the correct or more common pronunciation? If it is pronounced ‘Row’ sa-[name]Lind[/name] I would like the name better.
I know a few [name]Rosalind[/name]'s, and they all pronounce it raw-zuh-lind. I’ve never heard it pronoucned ro-zuh-lind.
I pn it as [name]Rose[/name]-uh-lind, mainly because that’s how it was always pn in my [name]Shakespeare[/name] class and that’s how I prefer it.
However, both pn I believe are legit. It’s probably a dialect/language thing.
I personally pronounce it ‘[name]ROZ[/name]-a-lind’ and I believe that was how [name]Rosalind[/name] [name]Russell[/name]'s name was pronounced too.
I say “[name]Rose[/name]-uh-lind”, but I have heard both and consider them to be equally legitimate.

I also have only heard it as raw-zuh-lind. However, looking at the name you can definitely argue it could be Row-zuh-lind. That’s English pronunciation for you! 
[name]Roz[/name] or Rawz, think any difference would be slight regional accents. I agree with your pronounciation. No [name]Rose[/name].
The only [name]Rosalind[/name] I know pronounces it this way, [name]ROZ[/name]-a-lind, and that’s how I’ve always said it.
I can see where the RAWZ-a-lind comes from in certain accents though - if OP is American it makes sense to say it that way.
Yep I’m American, and really no matter how I say it there’s no difference between [name]ROZ[/name]-uh-[name]Lind[/name] and RAWZ-uh-[name]Lind[/name]
I pronounce it [name]Rose[/name]-ah-lind. It is the only pronunciation I like.
Hm. I think I say RAWZ-a-lind. However, I’d say [name]Rosamond[/name], [name]Rosaline[/name], [name]Rosalie[/name], and most other [name]Rose[/name]- names as “[name]ROSE[/name]-a-suffix”.
On a side note, [name]Mungo[/name] [name]Jerry[/name], a British rock group from the 70’s, have a song called “Hey [name]Rosalyn[/name]” and I think they pronounce it “RAWZ-a-lin” (at least to my American ears).
I’ve heard both roz-ah-lin and rose-ah-lind.
I asked my English teacher and he said it’s pronounced rawz-uh-lind (here in [name]Ontario[/name], [name]Canada[/name] rawz-uh-lind and roz-uh-lind would be the same too). Personally I think it sounds lovely either way though.

Rawz- for me too, and no difference in how I say Rawz- and [name]Roz[/name]-
My A&P professor is [name]Rosalind[/name]. I just talked to her about her name the other day and she says it [name]Roz[/name]-ah-lind. Her parents did choose the name from [name]Shakespeare[/name]'s play, and even in my [name]Brit[/name] Lit courses, we always said it [name]Roz[/name]-ah-lind/[name]Roz[/name]-uh-lind.
