I’ve always pronounced it [name]CAL[/name]-UM. Like [name]Calvin[/name]…with an UM. hehe
that’s what i thought, but one of my friends said they knew a cay-lum and it threw me off! thanks for clearing that up

I know a few guys named [name]Callum[/name], they all pronounce it Cah-[name]Lum[/name] (with a strong a sound- yep, as in [name]Apple[/name])
Yes, short a, as in apple or [name]Allison[/name], at least in the US. Can the British berries, who are much more familiar with the name, enlighten us on how it’s pronounced there?
It’s a short ‘A’ sound, as in ‘apple’, in the UK.
