[name]How[/name] do you pronounce the name [name]Bryna[/name]/[name]Brynna[/name]? Also, which spelling do you prefer? Thanks!
To me they look like the would be pronounced Brine-ah
If you’re going for [name]Brenna[/name], I would spell it that way to avoid confusion.
I’m not looking for it to be said as [name]Brenna[/name], that was a concern though that people would say it as that! Thanks for your reply
brie-nuh
When I say the two out loud it they don’t say anything alike.
I grew up with a [name]Brenna[/name] so I would assume it is a creative spelling of that.
I’d say [name]Brinna[/name] (i as in igloo).
I also say [name]Brinna[/name].
I would also say it like [name]Brenna[/name].
I would say both [name]Brinna[/name] (I as in ink)
I agree with some of the berries and assume it is a creative spelling of the name [name]Brenna[/name], and pronounce it that way.
I had a [name]Brynna[/name] in my class and she pronounced it with a short E sound. I would probably pronounce [name]Bryna[/name] with the short I sound. [name]Just[/name] a little flustered why this makes sense with this name, but everyone wants to pronounce [name]Alyna[/name] with a long I or long e. That doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.
I saw [name]Brynna[/name] and thought “[name]Brinna[/name]”. That’s how I pronounce [name]Brynn[/name], so I carried it over I guess.
[name]Bryna[/name] makes me think “Brine-ah.”
But I see everyone has a slightly different take.
I knew a girl named [name]Bryna[/name] and she pronounced it [name]Brinna[/name].
I would say [name]Brinna[/name] as well. My friend’s daughter is [name]Brynn[/name] (brinn) so I would automatically say it that way.
i would pronounce [name]Brynna[/name] as [name]Brinna[/name] (short i) because it has 2 n’s.
I would say [name]Bryna[/name] could be either Bry-na (long I) or [name]Bree[/name]-na (long e).
I can’t see how to get a short e as in [name]Brenna[/name] out of either of them. (although I have heard, in some places pen and pin are pronounced the same, so maybe that’s it).
It’s the same with [name]Alyna[/name] as someone mentioned. That looks like [name]Aleena[/name] (long e) or A-lie-na (long i) to me but not [name]Alinna[/name] (short i). It needs 2 nn’s to clearly look like [name]Alinna[/name] (short i).
My name is [name]Bryna[/name] lol.
The way I pronounce it is [name]Bree[/name]-na. or [name]Sabrina[/name] but just without the Sa. I get A LOT of people pronouncing it Br-eye-na like [name]Bryan[/name], I actually do a lot of correcting lol. When we get name calls, when those calling out names get a really long pause I know it’s me because they’re just thinking how the hell do I pronounce this name?!
This exactly. With one ‘n’ it definitely makes the ‘y’ say ‘eye’ but with two ‘n’s’ it says ‘inn’. That’s just English pronunciation. If you want it to say [name]Brinna[/name] then that spelling or [name]Brynna[/name] are your only options.
There’s a little boy in the book I’m writing whose name is [name]Brinna[/name]
[name]Brin[/name]-ah
I prefer [name]Brynna[/name].
