Thoughts?
I knew someone with whom I had a challenging relationship ultimately so I am meh, but that’s the only reason why. I liked it well before.
The pros are that it is lovely and festive.
The con might be that it’s related to [name_u]Christmas[/name_u], but as I love [name_u]Christmas[/name_u], that’s not a personal concern.
I just met a brand new baby named [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] not two days ago! A sweet name for the most beautiful newborn babe.
Pros…
-Not overly popular, so the chance of her being [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] N. or [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] B. is slimmer
-Christmas!!! I adore this connection. Tons.
-Has a familiar feel, even though it’s not used too commonly
-Flouncy, but not overly pompous
Cons…
-Could easily be misspelled (see Noel)
-No obvious nicknames (aside from [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], that is)
-Has word “no” in it? I suppose this could be a con, but I don’t actually think it’s very important.
Pros:
Christmas connection
Classic beauty
Cons:
Could be misspelled
One of my favorites!
Pros -
Not super common or trendy
Not unheard of
[name_m]Easy[/name_m] to say and spell
[name_u]Christmas[/name_u]!
Con’s -
[name_u]Christmas[/name_u], especially if born another time of year
Misspelled as [name_u]Noel[/name_u]
Had a hard time with con’s and didn’t have much different to add than others. This would be a real contender for me except for rhyming with our last name.
I love it! I think it’s beautiful and familiar yet not trendy. It has the popular “elle” sound but will totally stand out as unique! Great choice! Can’t really think of a con unless you are don’t want a [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] connotation.
I really love this name. For me the Xmas connection is a con, since we don’t celebrate it. The pros are it’s beautiful sound, soft and feminine but with a kick because of the syllabic emphasis.
Pros:
- warm, sweet and stylish
- familiar but not popular
- cute nicknames (Elle, [name_u]Noa[/name_u], [name_f]Nell[/name_f], Nelly)
- short and simple
Cons:
- people might ask if she was born at [name_u]Christmas[/name_u]? [name_u]Or[/name_u] if you were into [name_u]Christmas[/name_u]?
- might get misspelled or misread as [name_u]Noel[/name_u]
