Prosper?

I came across [name_m]Prosper[/name_m] as a name for the second time, and despite myself I really like it. That, and [name_m]Valor[/name_m]. What are other people’s opinions?

I’ve always had a soft spot for the name. I would absolutely love to meet a [name_m]Prosper[/name_m]. Word names on boys are hard to come by but I think [name_m]Prosper[/name_m] is definitely a solid choice.

Hmm… It is a really handsome name! I prefer it to [name_m]Valor[/name_m]. I do think I prefer names like [name_m]Proctor[/name_m] and [name_u]Porter[/name_u] overall, though.

I absolutely love [name_m]Prosper[/name_m]! I completely fell for the name after reading The Thief [name_m]Lord[/name_m], and it’s swiftly become a firm favourite. I think it’s a strong, sensible sounding name, but with a boyish charm to it. It’s not an overly heavy and imposing virtue name in my opinion, but quite light in sound, with energy and a playful air. I really like [name_m]Valor[/name_m]/Valour too but prefer it as a middle, partially due to the spelling differences.

I like it! It reminds me of [name_f]Star[/name_f] Trek too. :stuck_out_tongue:

It always makes me think of [name_m]Prospero[/name_m] from The [name_f]Tempest[/name_f]! I think it’s lovely. I probably wouldn’t use it as a first, but it is a super handsome name, and I’d love to meet a little [name_m]Prosper[/name_m].

That’s also why I love it haha.

I adore [name_m]Prosper[/name_m], I’d totally use it if I could get S/O on board!

I didn’t even think of the [name_f]Star[/name_f] Trek reference! That makes it even better!

Also, I agree myosotis as to [name_m]Valor[/name_m]. As a word, I would spell it valour, but as a name I like it as [name_m]Valor[/name_m].

Me too! I’d probably prefer it as a middle name. I do like how it sounds though!

I like it! I have a definite soft spot for those types of names  I do think that the middle and last names matter when considering this name, though! The hardest thing about word names seems to be that names that you pair with them always seem to be descriptive…
