Proud Aunty!

I am now the proud aunty to twins! Looks like I wasn’t the only one to have double the trouble! My brother, [name]Emmett[/name], and his lovely wife, [name]Violet[/name], welcomed their first child, which just so happened to be twins on [name]October[/name] 5! They named them so well and reflect their names perfectly!

Georgia[/name]][name]Theodore[/name] [name]James[/name]- 5lbs. 11oz. 19 1/4 inches long.

Georgia[/name]][name]Emilia[/name] [name]Jane[/name]- 4lbs. 12oz. 19 inches long.

[name]Both[/name] are doing well and are so active!

Have a good day Berries!

Congrats to you Aunty! It looks like your family are awesome babynamers! [name]Welcome[/name] to the world, [name]Theodore[/name] and [name]Emilia[/name].

Well your family has certainly had alot of babies born in the past month. I think this is your third birth announcement between you, your sister, and now your brother.

Are you saying that they went into labor not knowing they were having twins?

Congratulations! All of the kids in your families have such wonderful names.

[name]Theodore[/name] [name]James[/name] and [name]Emilia[/name] [name]Jane[/name] (I’m biased but [name]Emilia[/name] [name]Jane[/name] is stunning) are perfect.

I do agree with @crunchymama - did they not know they were having twins? That seems a bit bizarre.

And your friend [name]Sydney[/name] too. Isn’t she having twins?

So many twins! Also, how interesting that your brother and sister in law have names that are currently popular, your whole family seems to be made up of NB favourites! I would never imagine a [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Emmett[/name] to be parents, I would imagine they were born in the last 5 years or so.

Congratulations on the latest additions to the family. There certainly must be a boom in your area!

We all got pregnant close together which was a huge surprise. [name]Agnes[/name] was planned but [name]Emmett[/name] and [name]Violet[/name]'s was
s a surprise as well as [name]Sydney[/name]'s. [name]Emmett[/name] is named after our Great-Grandfather so if the name [name]Emmett[/name] is popular now well good, it’s a fabulous name with great authority
[name]Violet[/name] I believe is named after her mothers sister who passed away the day before she was born. We all want big families. [name]Emmett[/name] and [name]Violet[/name] knew they were having twins, of course, though they did keep the genders a surprise. Twins are very prominent in our family so 2 of 5 siblings having a set wasn’t a surprise.

I certainly understand this. Last year, my 3 sister in laws and I were all pregnant. It was crazy. Due Feb, [name]Mar[/name], [name]May[/name], and [name]June[/name]. (We lost our baby, but our extended family got 3 new little boys in 2012). It’s fun when siblings are at the same stage and all having babies together.

As far as twins go… they only “run in families” in the sense that the mother CAN (but not definitley) pass down a gene that can cause hyperovulation. This would result in fraternal twins. Identical twins do not run in families in any way. They are spontaneous and any instance of multiple ID twins in a family is coincidence. So your brother’s relation to having twins in his family has no bearing on his wife conceiving twins. Must have just been a coincidence for them. Unless she is a fraternal twin herself or something too. (and no, not all fraternal twins are because of a hyperovulation gene inherited by the mom. It just happens spontaneously sometimes).

[name]Theodore[/name] [name]James[/name] and [name]Emilia[/name] [name]Jane[/name] are stunning together! Congratulations to them.
