Prue

Would [name]Prue[/name] stand alone? Thanks

I think it can. A lot of people just use “nicknames” on birth certificates and [name]Prue[/name] is not as nicknamey as some of the others like [name]Katie[/name] or [name]Jimmy[/name]. I think [name]Prue[/name] is cute.

It’s uncommon, but familar and goes perfectly with [name]Vale[/name] and [name]Flynn[/name].

I suppose it could, but I wouldn’t want my name to be just [name]Prue[/name].

I have a soft spot for [name]Prudence[/name] because of the Beatles song. It’s one of my favorite songs.
Also, I live near [name]Boston[/name], MA and the Prudential building here is often referred to as “The [name]Pru[/name]” so I could Never, in a million years use it myself, despite the fact that I really Like [name]Prue[/name]. Maybe you could?

Like any nickname, I think it can stand alone. If [name]True[/name] is used as a full name, why not [name]Prue[/name]? Then again, I wouldn’t want to go through life with people routinely asking “is your full name [name]Prudence[/name]?” and then having to explain that no it’s not, it’s just [name]Prue[/name] (or having them assume its my full name- my friend [name]Kate[/name] get’s called/mailed things for [name]Katherine[/name] all the time, even though her full name is [name]Kate[/name]). That’s probably just my bias though, since I have a thing for clunky names, particularly virtue ones. I had twin baby dolls when I was little named [name]Patience[/name] and [name]Prudence[/name]

Yes! It can definitely stand on its own!

I would go with either [name]Prudence[/name] or [name]True[/name]. I dont know about the name [name]Prue[/name] when she is older.

@lola same here. Although I think [name]Prue[/name] is adorable and avoids the “prude” jokes that comes with [name]Prudence[/name]. for op, though, go for it!

I think [name]Prue[/name] is usable as a stand alone name. And I wouldn’t mind being named [name]Prue[/name]. Maybe because [name]Pru[/name] was my favorite character on ‘Charmed’ when I was little :sunglasses:

I think it can stand alone, but I don’t think it’s that versatile.
