Pulse Check - Merrill

I’ve never really thought about this name!! for your questions:

  1. it might be difficult to say for anyone that has trouble with R or L sounds, which is common in young children. Does this bother you? Additionally, I have a sister called [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]. We used to call her Liv/Livi, but she couldn’t pronounce the L so she would call herself Viv/Vivi and it stuck. Now its what everyone calls her. Would any nicknames you’re considering be affected and would you be worried if they were?

  2. [name_m]The[/name_m] way you’ve spelt it, it looks masculine leaning neutral to me!

  3. [name_m]Not[/name_m] at all. I had never heard of [name_f]Merrill[/name_f] [name_m]Lynch[/name_m] or [name_m]Merrell[/name_m] outdoors brand.

  4. It sounds like [name_f]Merry[/name_f], which is cute and positive sounding. But I wouldn’t know which part of the name to emphasise (e.g. meRRill or merriLL?) which might not be an issue becuase its only a minor idfference.

  5. A [name_f]Merrill[/name_f] to me wouldn’t be the classic [name_m]Kaden[/name_m] or [name_m]Ryder[/name_m] that plays football and has never gotten higher than a C in school (no offence to Kadens or Ryders, im sure there are outliers). [name_f]Merrill[/name_f] is more thoughtful, almost.

  6. [name_m]The[/name_m] double R in [name_m]Warren[/name_m] and the double R in [name_f]Merrill[/name_f] trips me up a bit. It prevents some of the flow that could happen with a different name to complete the sibset. Again, may not be an issue for you!

  7. I particularly like [name_f]Merrill[/name_f] [name_m]Samson[/name_m], [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] and [name_m]Franklin[/name_m].
