Quest for a Middle Name

Looking through my family tree, I found that my great, great grandmother was named [name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Mary[/name_f]. I like the name [name_f]Lena[/name_f], but I dislike it with [name_f]Mary[/name_f]. I think something a bit more unusual/longer might work better. So far I’ve thought of;

[name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Maud[/name_f] ([name_f]Maud[/name_f] was the MN of one of [name_f]Lena[/name_f]'s daughters)
[name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f] (another MN of one of her daughters, my great grandmother)
[name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] (my great grandmother’s FN)
[name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] ([name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is my mum’s name)

Any suggestions/thoughts would be great!

Also, how would you pronounce [name_f]Lena[/name_f]? My great grandmother says it as [name_u]Lee[/name_u]-nah, but I know some who go by [name_m]Lay[/name_m]-nah.

I liked [name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] the best. And I pronounce it [name_u]LEE[/name_u]-na.

I say [name_u]LEE[/name_u]-na, and I love [name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f]. [name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] is also very nice.

I agree with everyone above me ^^ [name_u]Lee[/name_u]-na, and I like [name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f] and [name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] the best.

I’d pronounce it [name_u]Lee[/name_u]-nah too. I quite like [name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Maud[/name_f], [name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f] and [name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f].
I also like the suggestions of [name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Mamie[/name_f], [name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Maren[/name_f] and [name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Marietta[/name_f].
Some other thoughts:
[name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Maryam[/name_f]/[name_f]Mariam[/name_f]
[name_f]Marlena[/name_f] ?

I pronounce it [name_m]Lay[/name_m]-nah, but that is probably because that’s how it’s pronounced in [name_m]German[/name_m]. Although I’m American I live in Germany and have gotten used to a lot of the name pronunciations here. I really like [name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] :slight_smile:
