This question is about [name_u]Miles[/name_u], which is one of our top choices right now. Our last name starts with ‘Stro’, and I’m wondering if [name_u]Miles[/name_u] is usable with this last name? I feel like the s -> S doesn’t allow for a natural break, but do you think I’m overthinking this one?

While it might not have the absolute perfect flow, it is certainly usable! If you love the name it’s my opinion that flow with last name doesn’t matter all that much as long as it’s not atrocious. You’ll rarely say his first and last name together compared to just his first name.
I said it out loud a few times too, and I think it’s fine! The combination is not hard to say, and [name_u]Miles[/name_u] is a familiar name, so I think people will easily understand what his name is even if it runs together with your surname a little.
I think it’s usable! I think it helps that your last name starts with ‘St’ which gives it a strong sound so it doesn’t blend so much with the ‘s’ in [name_u]Miles[/name_u].
I can’t see myself chosing a first name ends with the same letter/sound as the first letter of my last name. But it’s really not a big deal. I’m just nit-picky with sounds and flow
I think it sounds fine as your surname sounds like a strong ST sound which will not detract from the S in [name_u]Miles[/name_u]. Definitely fine. I like [name_u]Miles[/name_u] too.
