I have been thinking about the name [name]Jacqueline[/name]/[name]Jaqueline[/name] a lot. To me, it is so pretty and elegant.
What do you think of the name? [name]Jacqueline[/name] or [name]Jaqueline[/name]?
Also, how do you pronounce it? “[name]JAK[/name]-uh-lin” or “[name]JAK[/name]-kwuh-lin”?

I never heard it pronounced [name]JAK[/name]-kwuh-lin. I pronounce it [name]JAK[/name]-uh-lin (in English) or [name]JAK[/name]-lin (in french).
Personally, I have a bad association with the name, so I don’t care for it.
[name]Jacqueline[/name] is pronounced two ways. I’ve NEVER heard it “[name]JAK[/name]-kwuh-lin”.
French = zha-kuh-LEEN or zhak-LEEN
English = [name]JAK[/name]-uh-lin
My cousin is [name]Jacquelyn[/name] and we pronounce it “[name]Jack[/name]-kwuh-lin”.
I know most Americans say [name]JAK[/name]-wuh-lin, but I spent too much time in [name]France[/name] and can’t seem to stop myself from automatically saying Jah-KLEEN.
Yerp though I say [name]Jac[/name]/queline as ‘jack-lin’ in English.
I prefer the [name]Jacqueline[/name] spelling. Knowing that it’s the feminine form of [name]Jacques[/name], [name]Jaqueline[/name] just doesn’t look right.
Everyone I know says “jak-wuh-lin.”
So - here in the US I have heard:
[name]Jacqueline[/name] - Ja-kwe-lyn or [name]Jack[/name]-a-lyn
I know a [name]Jacklyn[/name] and a Jackleen (unsure if the k is there or not)
I have heard the “jah-QUAH-lin” pronunciation, but I was always under the impression that it was incorrect.
[name]Jack[/name] a lin or [name]Jack[/name] lin. [name]Love[/name] the name by the way.
I’m in the US and I too have never heard it pronounced “jack-kwah-lin.” I’ve always heard jack-uh-lin or jack-lin.
