I think [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] are my top contenders for future daughters. Although I am still torn between [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] or [name_f]Molly[/name_f] as the honor name I know I want to use. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] work together? I love that both are classic, but still bright and spunky, are not terribly overused, but still familiar, and that they have different endings. These names are also both meaningful.
I’d love to be able to use both names, but if that is not an option, I am open to combining them into first and middle. So my main questions are:
-
[name_f]Do[/name_f] [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] work together?
-
What other names go well with at least one of those?
-
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] or [name_f]Molly[/name_f]? I love both of these names so much, and great reasons to choose either of them! [name_f]Molly[/name_f] is [name_u]Irish[/name_u] like my name, so I like that connection. It also honors the two most important women in my life, my mom and my late maternal grandmother. It’s spunky and sweet, but I feel like [name_f]Molly[/name_f] is the more expected choice.
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] seems more daring without being too out there. I think I’ve mentioned this before, but I also like the fact that if I used that one, my daughter would be the fourth generation with [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] as part of her name. Usually, it’s a middle name, which is great, but I like the idea of using the derivative [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] as a first name even more. It’s a way of giving her something that is hers alone while still honoring my grandma.
Bonus points for first-middle combinations! Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated, thank you so much!

[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Molly[/name_f] or [name_f]Molly[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] would work well.
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] would work great as sisters.

@shells15 Thank you so much! I’ve always loved [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] but didn’t have another name I really loved and wanted to pair with it until I realized I could use [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] as an honor name. Not every name has to match the person’s you are honoring exactly. Thank you again!

[name_f]My[/name_f] thoughts
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] + [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] are gorgeous they feel elegant, refined, have a touch of glamour, feel fashionable and spunky. I think [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] could be a more natural fit with [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] just because [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] is so I don’t know formal maybe whereas [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] feels more playful. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] matches the formality. Still for me it’s not a massive issue if you prefer [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] definitely go with her it’s just an observation.
Personally I’ve never been a fan of [name_f]Molly[/name_f] I can completely see the appeal and she is a family name so I would love to get on board but I just hear ‘moles’ so for me I massively prefer [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]. Maybe [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Molly[/name_f]?
Middle names for [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] could be [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], [name_f]Willa[/name_f], [name_u]Fern[/name_u], [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] or [name_f]Marilla[/name_f]. Concerning [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] I think [name_f]Molly[/name_f] would be a great middle name getting in that family sentiment or maybe [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] or [name_f]Mary[/name_f] as another way to honour your relatives. I also like [name_u]Florence[/name_u], [name_f]Frances[/name_f], [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] or [name_f]Verity[/name_f] as middle names for [name_f]Eliza[/name_f].
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps

@EloiseT Thank you so much! [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] is so special, right?! I love so many of your suggestions:
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]— middle is my mom’s first name, after, her grandmother
[name_f]Molly[/name_f] Hazel—so vintage and cool!
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] Genevieve—another way to honor my mom with the middle name and it’s so pretty!
[name_f]Molly[/name_f] Josephine—honors two additional family members
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] Elise—I just really like this combination!
Thank you again!

@tori101 Thank you so much! I feel like I’m definitely leaning toward [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] right now too. In a way, it feels like I’m trying to make myself like [name_f]Molly[/name_f] more than I actually do because it would be so sentimental. I love it, but I don’t know, it just doesn’t feel as natural to me as [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] does. And there are other ways to also honor my mom without using [name_f]Molly[/name_f] as a first name.
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f] (which also flips my grandma’s initials)
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Molly[/name_f] (like you suggested)
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] (uses my mom’s initials and grandma’s first initial)
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] (uses my first initial and my mom’s middle initial)
Thank you again!

- YES! I think they go very well together!
- I think [name_f]Molly[/name_f] DOES go well with these two other names. Some other names that go well I think (they are both classic and a little spunky): [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], [name_f]Harriet[/name_f], [name_u]Clare[/name_u], [name_f]Bridget[/name_f], [name_f]Jane[/name_f] (my favorite honestly), [name_f]Laura[/name_f] or [name_f]Samantha[/name_f].
- I would choose [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], personally.
Some combos:
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Faith[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_u]Jeanne[/name_u]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_u]Clare[/name_u]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Melinda[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Beth[/name_f] (another very cool way to incorporate [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] without her name literally being Elizabeth!)
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_u]Clare[/name_u]
[name_f]Harriet[/name_f], [name_u]Clare[/name_u], [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] and [name_f]Samantha[/name_f] all go well with [name_f]Molly[/name_f] as a middle!
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Samantha[/name_f]
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_u]Clare[/name_u]
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_u]Cameron[/name_u]
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]

@Greyblue Thank you so much! I am a little obsessed with Tessa!! I love [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] too but I don’t know if I’m brave enough to use it as a first name. [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] might be cute though. I like the idea of [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f] or [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f]. I love [name_u]Sloane[/name_u], and [name_f]Nina[/name_f] is unexpected and I love it!
Thank you again!

@Grandidieramy Thank you so much! [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is so sweet, and love [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] too! I also think [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] is a very underrated name, I love it. I so wish I could use [name_f]Laura[/name_f], but I think I know too many women named [name_f]Laura[/name_f], [name_u]Laurie[/name_u], or [name_f]Lori[/name_f], unfortunately! [name_f]My[/name_f] other favorite suggestion is [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], but like I said previously on this thread, I don’t know if I’m brave enough to use it!
Thank you again so much!
